| Support for Android for Work (3.2.0)
Android for Work is Google’s platform for segregating work apps from personal apps. Now Huddle can be deployed and configured on devices using Android for Work and a compatible Enterprise Mobile Management (EMM) provider. Devices need to be on Android Operating System Version Lollipop or later so that they support app restrictions and configuration values.
Managing devices with a compatible EMM provider gives IT admins many device level controls such as:
-
Remote wipe of work sandbox
-
Force device encryption
-
Force device passcode, as well as defining its complexity
-
Force Install or Delete Apps
By deploying and configuring the app via your EMM provider and Android for Work, IT admins have extra application level controls such as:
-
Segregation of work and personal applications: prevent leakage of content between the two
-
Control application permissions such as copy/paste, print, and open-in permissions
By using Huddle’s App Whitelisting feature IT admins can turn off the normal Huddle for Android app, and only allow users in your company to use the Huddle for Android app when deployed with Android for Work, thus guaranteeing that Huddle content is only accessible in company managed sandboxes. To get started please get in touch with our support team at help@huddle.com.
