INTERNAL RULES.- To be a volunteer involves:
Working selflessly the hours stipulated on the labour planning,

DESCRIPTION OF WORK.- Reconstruction and restoration tasks of the
various premises that integrate the rustic complex of the
Cercado-Rodela estate situated within the Natural Park of Cuenca
Alta del Manzanares. The improvement and refurbishment of the
shelter, stables, kitchen and other communal spaces, bridges and
fencing were undertaken while taking into account eco-friendly,
environmental construction techniques. Complementary activities
such as trekking, orienteering and nature watching will be held
here.
COMPLEMENTARY ACTIVITIES - LEISURE ACTIVITIES.- Visits to Madrid,
in order to know the town. Workshops, excursions to places with
tourist interest, etc.
ACCOMMODATION/FOOD.- In the Centre of environmental activities of
Cercado Rodela, located in the village Soto del Real (Madrid).
LOCATION.- The workcamp is located 3 Km. from the village Soto
del Real, in Guadarrama mountains. This village is located 40 Km.
from Madrid.
TRAVELLING INSTRUCTIONS.- By bus from Madrid: Plaza de Castilla
(J. COLMENAREJO Company - Tel. 91-8450051 / 3598109), every 15
minutes. Buses number 725 and 726.

A way to disconnect from routine, and open up to new experiences.
It involves active and joint participation in social wellbeing
for the community where the camp is developed.
A further purpose is to have fun by taking part in activities

located: A traditional bee garden will be built (circular stone
walling and hives with hollow logs). Maintenance work for wooden
infrastructures on the Senda de los Oficios. Path clearing.
Conditioning of bird attraction area. Clearing leaves and weeds
from the lime kiln. Remodelling the coal cellar. Maintenance of
the shepherds´ pen.
Tasks in the agro-ecology resources area: fruit picking, tree
water-basin cleaning, maintenance work in traditional vegetable
garden and nursery, repair and replacement of wood and wire
fencing, cleaning of plots of land and groundwork.
Maintenance and replacement of nesting boxes. Learning about
wrens and their role in the ecosystem.

Archaeological excavation in the ´Villaricos´ Roman deposit,
located in the village of Mula. Participants also will know the
most important archaeological deposits of the Mula area.
Excavation works will be made, photography, washing and inventory
of the taken out materials during the excavation, ceramics, etc.
