Study Inclusion Criteria and Selection
The included studies were those with human participants, both adult and children. All clinical trials – randomized control trials, open-label studies, case controls, case reports/series – were included. All studies that looked at the association between SSRI use and the cluster of symptoms were included. Titles and abstracts were screened for suitability and those meeting criteria were read in full and citations searched for additional papers.
Exclusion Criteria
Non-human studies and those not written in English were excluded. Studies which were ambiguous about the type of antidepressant were also excluded.

Results
A total of five (5) Randomized Control Trials (“RCT”), thirteen (13) cross-sectional/case-controls, two (2) cohort studies and eleven (11) case reports/series.
