The University has a number of scholarships offered to school leavers including:
University of Canberra Undergraduate Scholarship (UCUS)
These CSP scholarships are for current school leavers who achieve an ATAR score of 99 and over and who have accepted an offer of a place in their first undergraduate degree at the University of Canberra.
The scholarships will exempt the recipients from their Higher Education Contribution Scheme (HECS) liabilities. Only those subjects that are required to complete the course of study will be exempt from the HECS charges. No separate application is required.
University of Canberra Chancellor's Scholarship for Academic Excellence
Awarded to CSP students who achieve an ATAR of 95 and over and who have accepted an offer of a place in their first undergraduate degree at the University of Canberra. Each award is valued at $5,000 per annum. No separate application is required.

Chancellors Scholars Program
This opportunity is for all high-achieving CSP and international students who attain an ATAR of 99.90 or above, have applied for a course offered at the university through VTAC and satisfy the prerequisites for their chosen course. As a Chancellor’s Scholar, students will be guaranteed a graduate program of their choice, as well as a package of other benefits which includes a Melbourne National Scholarship valued at over $40,500 (depending on course chosen), $2500 to support an approved period of study overseas on exchange or a study abroad program during their undergraduate degree, and opportunities for internships. International students will be considered for International Undergraduate Scholarships that range from full fee remission down to $10,000 fee remission. Courses on offer are –

Melbourne National Scholarships
The Melbourne National Scholarships provides a tuition fee-exempt Commonwealth Supported Place valued up to approximately $30,500 – so no HECS debt - and a $15,000 living allowance ($30,000 for interstate students) over the normal duration of an undergraduate degree (excluding Honours) and $2500 to support an approved period of study overseas on exchange or a study abroad program during their undergraduate degree. The scholarships will be offered to all applicants who have an ATAR or equivalent of 99.90 or above (99.85 for Music and 90.00 for Indigenous applicants), have applied for a course offered at the university through VTAC and satisfy the prerequisites for their chosen course. University of Newcastle
Numerous scholarships are on offer including access & equity scholarships.
Valued at $8,000 annually, this scholarship is offered to the highest ranked commencing CSP student in a Bachelor degree in the Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment at the Callaghan Campus of the University of Newcastle with an ATAR of 99.0 or above. Selection will be based on the ATAR and applicants must have made an application for a CSP place to Newcastle through UAC to be eligible to be considered. No other applications need be submitted for this scholarship and the scholarships are automatically awarded following Semester 1 Main Round Admissions.
Faculty of Education and Arts (FEDUA) Faculty Scholars Program High Achiever Undergraduate Scholarship
Valued at $2,000, these scholarships will be awarded to CSP students commencing their first year in a Bachelor of Arts with an ATAR of 92.0 or above at the Callaghan or Central Coast Campus. Selection will be based on the ATAR and applicants must have made an application for a CSP place to Newcastle through UAC to be eligible to be considered.
Faculty of Business and Law Undergraduate Scholarship
A number of scholarships will be offered, in the degrees of Bachelor of Business, Bachelor of Commerce, Combined Law Program and a Combined Degree, where both degrees are offered in the Faculty of Business and Law. Successful recipients will receive a once-off award of $1,500. Selection will be based on the ATAR and applicants must have made an application for a CSP place to Newcastle through UAC.
Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment High Achiever Undergraduate Scholarship
Valued at $2,000, eligible students must attain an ATAR of 95.00 and above and be commencing an undergraduate CSP course within the Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment. All applicants who have made an application to Newcastle through UAC and been successful will be considered and must be enrolling full-time at the Callaghan or Central Coast Campus.
Valued at $1,000, this scholarship is awarded to female CSP student commencing in a Bachelor of Engineering undergraduate program at the Callaghan or Central Coast campus. No separate application is required. All applicants who have made an application to Newcastle through UAC and been successful will be considered. Selection will be based on the ATAR.
Faculty of Health and Medicine High Achiever Undergraduate Scholarships - School of Biomedical Sciences and Pharmacy
This scholarship will be awarded to the highest ranked CSP student in the School of Biomedical Sciences and Pharmacy commencing in a Bachelor Degree offered by the School at the Callaghan Campus of the University of Newcastle. The Scholarship provides for a total benefit of up to $10,000 depending on the duration of relevant degree. $1,000 will be awarded at the commencement of each semester of the degree. The continuing award of the scholarship will be subject to satisfactory academic progress. No separate application is necessary as all eligible applicants who have made an application through UAC will be considered.
Faculty of Health and Medicine High Achiever Undergraduate Scholarships - School of Health Sciences
Valued at $10,000 this scholarship will be awarded to the highest ranked CSP student in the School of Health Sciences commencing one of the following degrees at the Callaghan, Central Coast, or Port Macquarie Campus:
Bachelors of Medical Radiation Science (Diagnostic Radiography, Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Therapy)
No separate application is necessary as all eligible applicants who have made an application through UAC will be considered.
Faculty of Health and Medicine High Achiever Undergraduate Scholarships – School of Medicine & Public Health
Valued at $10,000 this scholarship will be awarded to the highest ranked CSP student in the School of Medicine & Public Health commencing a Bachelor undergraduate degree in the Faculty of Health and Medicine, School of Medicine and Public Health, at the Callaghan campus. No separate application is necessary as all eligible applicants who have made an application through UAC will be considered.
Faculty of Health and Medicine High Achiever Undergraduate Scholarships - School of Nursing and Midwifery
Valued at a total of $10,000 this scholarship is available for any eligible CSP student commencing a Bachelor undergraduate degree in the Faculty of Health and Medicine, School of Nursing and Midwifery, at either the Callaghan, Central Coast, or Port Macquarie Campus. No separate application is necessary as all eligible applicants who have made an application through UAC will be considered.
