Scholarships at RMIT are granted to students based on equity, academic excellence, leadership skills, community involvement and research.
Merit scholarships that are on offer include:
This scholarship is awarded to high achieving CSP students starting a full-time degree in semester 1 2016. It is valued at $10,000 per year for the duration of the course. No separate application is necessary. All eligible students will automatically be considered.

George Alexander Foundation Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to high achieving CSP students starting a full-time diploma/advanced diploma in semester 1 2016. For students with academic ability, leadership potential, a passion for community involvement and the will to succeed; worth $7500 per year. Applications open in August and must be made directly to RMIT.

Jacob and Charlotte Kahane Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to high achieving CSP students who are passionate about journalism. It is valued at $7,000 for one year, and applications must be made directly to RMIT.
Engineering Scholarship
All female CSP and international students commencing a Bachelor of Engineering degree in the School of Aerospace, Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering can apply for this scholarship, which is a once-off payment of $5000. To be eligible, students must also attain an ATAR of 95.00+ and must have demonstrated leadership in a societal or cultural setting. Short-listed applicants will be required to attend an interview. Applications must be made directly to RMIT and short-listed applicants must be available to be interviewed if necessary.
The Department of Health (Victoria) is offering scholarships of $10,000 over three years for CSP students who attain an ATAR of 85 or above, studying the Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Radiations) Nuclear Medicine stream. School of Electrical and Computer Engineering Academic Merit Scholarships
This scholarship is awarded to high achievers who attain an ATAR of 95.00 or above. Successful applicants will be awarded an annual scholarship of $8,000 per year for the first two years of their degree. CSP students must apply for a full time Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Biomedical Engineering, Bachelor of Electronic & Communication Engineering/Bachelor of Science degree and numerous other engineering degrees. Royal Flying Doctor Service Scholarships
The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) offers scholarships to a number of occupational areas and locations to assist professionals who have a desire and passion to work for the RFDS and who need to obtain further skills and qualifications.
The RFDS is dedicated to enabling individuals from all socio-economic backgrounds gain employment with the service and to further their skills and knowledge. Places are limited and highly sought after because they offer a unique opportunity to pursue further education and embark on a rewarding career with the RFDS.

Scholarships for Children of Veterans The Australian Veterans’ Children Assistance Trust (AVCAT) gives financial assistance to numerous students under a range of scholarship schemes. These students are the children and grandchildren of ex-service men and women.
Valued at between $3,000 and $4,000 per year, and lasts for up to three years of a degree. Applicants are considered for all schemes for which they are eligible.
