Competitive Landscape.
Apple is considered as one of the most reputable companies in the PC and digital industry allover the world, it is ranked as the world’s most admired company consecutively for last three years also, there are many factors involved in its ongoing success as the market innovator. Apple has many products that are currently at different stages of the product life cycle. Apples Air Pods on the other hand are in the growth stage of the product life cycle. This stage is characterized by many sales and increasing market share growth. Air Pods were introduced to the market in December 13

, 2016. They haven’t quite reached the maturity stage however, because they are still a relatively new product. Apple iPhones however are in the maturity stage of the product life cycle. This part of the life cycle involves a slowing of total industry sales and revenue. Apple has been developing iPhones consistently over the years, and consumers are well aware of them. Also, many iPhone users are repurchases meaning they consistently buy iPhones and do not switch brands. Because of this, iPhones are in the maturity stage. Finally, Apple has some products that are in the decline stage. Apple’s iPods are definitely in this stage. Many former iPod users do not need them anymore because they have all their music on their phones hence, the introduction of the smartphones were causing the disruption to the iPod and were the new S-curve in the market which replaces the present iPod. Because of which the demand for iPods has dropped, Apple decided to harvest them, where they reduce the price of iPods and reduce the marketing costs for promoting them. Please refer to Exhibit 1 & 2, The Competitive Life Cycle) One of the important factors for Apple’s success is its solid corporate culture that promotes its values and belief’s among employees and partners and their keen commitment towards the company. These values and commitment bring together the award-winning products and services every year. Many of Apple’s customers sleep or wait outside the Apple stores just to be the first to buy the new products. This indicates that Apple enjoys its brand loyalty. To achieve this Apple employs ab few strategies
such as exclusive Apple stores with well-trained and well-informed employees who have good knowledge of their products and services. These give the customers an opportunity to explore the technology.
