3.0 INTRODUCTION
This chapter presents the detailed method employed in conducting this research enquiry. From the principles of the method, this researcher was able to survey and comprehend the perception of children in Lagos about specialized newspapers designed to suit (and invariably dedicated to) them.
Following the review of relevant literature and comprehension, specific methods researchers employed when carrying out similar researches was noted. The need for replication of these methods and designs became imperative since most of their findings had been generally acceptable to be logical, beneficial to policy making, and serve as reference materials for further enquiries.
It would be objective to note that with technological advancements, the method employed herein may be revised for better accuracy; that is not to imply that the method did not bring the necessary finding.
This chapter identifies the research designs adopted for the study, which include the population of the research, the area of the study, the representative sample or population sample, the sampling procedure or techniques, and the type of data as well as the method of data collection. It also describes the extent of validity and reliability of the study as well as the method of data analysis.
