DEFINITION OF TERMS
Certain terminologies were used in this research to imply particular variables. While some were basically connotative in interpretation, some others were used cautiously by this researcher as follows:
CHILDREN: for this research, this referred to junior secondary school children in Lagos state. It is the category that this researcher aimed to reach, understudy, and elicit information from. The findings from the research would also be targeted somewhat to this category of children.
MEDIA: This is used as a general term to include the Print, Broadcast, and New Media. However, larger focus is geared towards the Print medium like books, newspapers, magazine, et al, but the central angle would climax specifically with “Newspapers”.
