1.3 RESEARCH QUESTIONS
For the purpose of this study, attention is focused on finding the relationship the younger generation gives to reading newspapers in an age inundated by digital technology. The study, therefore, consider the following questions pertinent to provide direction for the study:
What extent do children read newspapers?
What importance is reading newspapers to children?
What are children’s perceptions about specialized children newspapers?
By answering the research questions, we can evaluate the reading patterns of children and see if actually newspapers and other reading materials are still useful to them. It would also forecast (predict) the future of newspapers and other printed documents in Nigeria.
