1.2 OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY
The objectives of this study are as follows:
To find how much time children spend reading newspapers.
To see if children still find newspapers relevant in the current epoch.
To determine their reaction or perception to creating specialized newspapers that suits them.
This study centers clearly on the study of consumer behavior. The attitude of children in (junior) secondary schools to reading newspapers, and its usefulness to attaining higher levels of education, speech, reasoning, and self-actualization is carefully examined. The focus on children justifies the earlier positions by many scholars that to get a head start in tackling a problem, you need to go to the foundation (Isah, 2010).
