Installation Checklist
For those users who are familiar with running PI data collection interface programs, this checklist helps get the Interface running. Those who are not familiar with PI interfaces should read the rest of the manual in detail and then return to this section. Use the Bailey EWS (Engineering Workstation) to confirm the ability to use the serial cable to communicate to the CIU/ICI. Use this same serial cable to connect the Interface computer to the CIU/ICI.
2. Install the PI Interface Configuration Utility. This installs PI SDK and PI API. Verify that the PI API has been installed correctly by running
apisnap
4. Install the interface by running the setup program. Choose a point source.
6. If desired, configure a digital state set that indicates the Bailey Station Status values Manual, Auto, Cascade/Ratio, Dig Station Failure, Manual Lock, Bypassed, Auto Lock, Cascade Lock. If desired, configure a digital state set that indicates the Bailey module status values Configure, Failed, Error, Execute. Configure other digital state sets as required. Configure points for the interface
