Went back this morning before sunrise and fished until 1:00. Conditions were the same, maybe a little windier. A lot more people were there. A lot more people out there today, so a lot more tangles. The fish were divided up among everyone, but I managed to get my limit. The fish were there thickest early and were there in smaller and smaller spurts throughout the time I was there. I caught one on a jig and 6 lb and got some other hits. Somehow I ended up with 5 in my cooler right before we left - not sure what happened . Hopefully the mystery fish ended up in Jordan's cooler or something. Maybe I miscounted, but I doubt it. Jordan and Mike ended up with something like 6 between them.

I also saw a mack and a few bluefish caught(one blue by me), but not many people were fishing for them.

The biggest fish was 15 inches to the fork.

Btw, I found out today that helping a friend fill their limit, after you fill yours, is illegal. In other words, every fish you catch that is kept by someone counts toward your limit. I am glad Mike picked up my rod for one of the fish early in the day or I would have had to release my second biggest fish of the day. Originally, Mike threw his fish in my cooler because he got it on my rod, but because Willy was getting extremely technical and heard I had six, I threw the fish I was going to throw into Mike's cooler into my cooler and moved the fish Mike got on my rod into his cooler and kept that one. I had never heard of this law before. After thinking about it, it makes sense. This is just to let everyone know, because Willy is apparently enforcing it with whatever power he has. Oh, and having someone else reel in the fish on your rod and keep it isn't allowed either, because "then they are fishing two pompano rods and will get thrown off" the pier.

With that said, overall a fun and relaxing two trips. Nice to meet you GO4EM and and a few others. I had minimal shoulder/arm pain while fishing. I think leaning over the rail actually stretched out my back because it hadn't felt that good all week. The soreness and spasms are beginning to set in, but it was worth it.
