single person Submit AnswersD. Communicating Effectively. 1 Timothy 3:2; Titus 1:9. To lead on the mission field, you generally must be able to communicate effectively. This doesn’t mean that you
must have the gift of prophecy, but often the mission position requires that you be able to teach Scripture and refute those who argue against Scripture.
See 1 Timothy 3:2; Titus 1:9. As a leader, you must be able to transfer ideas and directions to followers. When you receive a revelation from Scripture or a vision for ministry, you must be able to communicate that information to a congregation. If you cannot provide
such vision to a congregation, the congregation is unrestrained and will flounder (Proverbs 29:18). If you are going to a place that speaks a language foreign to you, you must determine how you will learn the language. Where there
is a sponsoring mission agency, the sponsor maybe able to pay for language training. You will probably learn much or all of the language in the area that you will serve.
