Some of the characteristics of culture include the following:
Culture is Learned: Culture is not an innate quality of human being that is, man is not born with it but he has to learn it through the process of social and physical interaction with other members of the society.
Culture is Shared: it is only what one has learned that one can share. Having gone through the process of learning the elements of culture, one can therefore be in a position to share it with others and vice versa. It is important to note that culture is not made by individuals. As they are part of the society they belong to the existing culture of the society hence they tend to share the cultural heritage with other members of the society through social interaction.
