REGION: Region of Castilla y León. Province of Salamanca.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK:

Main Activity:

The performances consist in conducting a series of

infrastructures that will address the needs of space called ´The

Territory of the Games´. It will create basic elements for the

development of activities in this place:

Green roof on the Straw Bale Cabin

Composting toilet building

Construction of solar showers

Building a dome-shaped greenhouse

Construction of a traditional oven
In buildings it will be used the criteria of low impact,

traditional building techniques and eco-efficient technology.

Young volunteers will gain skills in self-construction,

bio-building, sustainability, use of local materials and

recycled...
COMPLEMENTARY ACTIVITIES - LEISURE ACTIVITIES: On the other hand,

but simultaneously, the volunteers will participate in diverse

activities of social and cultural animation and rural revival,

collaborating with distinct municipal associations, taking off

from the possibilities offered by popular games and cultural

tradition. Among others, the following activities are proposed:

Festival of intergenerational games

Trade Fair

Rural life and culture shop

Environmental shop

Experience a day with a family

Participation in the Cultural Evenings at the Amphitheatre.

Also, to fill in free time, there will be other activities and

shops of cultural, recreational, sports directed to the group of

young participants, such as:

Day trips to Salamanca and ´Las Arribes del Duero´ (portuguese

border)

Dramatization and body expression



Workshops of artistic expression

Sport activities

Nightly entertainment activities

International cooking shop.

PROFILE - COMMITMENT OF PARTICIPANTS: Young people with social

concerns, who want to get a better grasp of the rural world

through involvement in a community project in a small town in

western Castilla.

Young people interested in bio- building and the knowledge of

traditional culture for sustainable living.


INTERNAL RULES: The participants must respect minimal rules

during their stay at the workcamp, as far the schedules for work,

meals and rest periods are concerned and participation in group

activities as well as cooperation in group tasks and social

interaction.

Description of Workcamp:
REGION: Region of Canarias. Tenerife island.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Road´s diagnosis: Geographic data

collection, drawing up of sketches, taking photographs,

completion of cards and information processing.

Cleaning, waste and/or rubble removal.

Training activities in collaboration with the Heritage Unit and

Environment.

ACCOMMODATION/FOOD: Youth Camp ´La Esperanza´ - Lomos Los Pinos

Eight cabins with two bedrooms (four beds in each room), living

room, bathroom with shower and toilet, with hot water.
LOCATION: We are going to intervene in a section of Candelaria´s

Old Road, located in the municipality of El Rosario (15 minutes

by bus from the Camp ´La Esperanza´, the place of accommodation

for the group), the section which will be recovered, since it has

wealth assets of interest as well as a good conservation of the

original stone pavement of the way, corresponds with the section

that runs between the Church of El Rosario to the Way ´Camino de

los Pájaros´, in Barranco Hondo. (Municipality of El Rosario).


TRAVELLING INSTRUCTIONS:

By plane or boat to the island of Tenerife.

Pick up at the airport by staff of the organization and transfer

to Camp ´La Esperanza´.

MEETING POINT: Friday, August 10 at North Tenerife Airport, ´Los

Rodeos´ or South Tenerife Airport ´Reina Sofia´

information regarding.

PROFILE - COMMITMENT OF PARTICIPANTS:

Young people from 18 to 25 years.


The volunteer agrees to:

Work, selflessly, stipulated hours in the camp working project,

five days a week.

Collaborate on the development of the scheduling of animation

activities and participate on them.

Contribute to the workcamp overall organization in the suitable

tasks: cleaning, cooking, administration, etc...

Respect different beliefs, ideologies and personal differences of

the participants.

Stay in the workcamp during the scheduled period.


INTERNAL RULES:

Respect the rules of procedure and coexistence:

To accept the guideline of those responsible for the activity.

To fulfill, in general, the schedules;

To consume neither alcohol nor other drugs, neither in the

facilities, nor where the workcamp takes place.

Do not use private vehicles during the workcamp.
In the workcamp it is not allowed:

Smoking in closed common areas. There will be an area surrounding

the facility for smokers.

Access to kitchen units, laundry and/or any other facility

without prior permission of the management.

Exclusive use of common areas of the residence such us: dining

room, bedrooms, living rooms or bathrooms.

The entrance to the residence to any person outside the workcamp

without prior permission of the management.
Obligations of participants:

To make good use of all facilities and furnishings, leaving them

in perfect condition.

To maintain and clean the common areas of the residence.

To take care of his/her personal hygiene.

To attend, to take part and to collaborate in an active way, with

supportive and tolerant attitudes with all the persons who

integrate the workcamp.

To respect the living relationships, individually and

collectively.

Ensuring the safety of the components of the workcamp.
The assigned staff will accompany the group during the daily

tasks and activities. Except in accordance with the director,

staff may not leave the premises except at times designated as

free time.

The activity director will remain in both the activities and the

facility to address any potential incident quickly.

In general, the monitoring team should ensure the proper care of

equipment, facilities as well as the housekeeping during the

activity.
Not acceptance or fulfillment of the established procedure, may

result in immediate exclusion from the workcamp.

Description of Workcamp:


REGION: Region of Pais Vasco. Province of Alava.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: This workcamp will allow young people around

the world to participate in the fascinating task of learning to

restore of the saltern and produce salt in the very interior of a

historic cultural landscape where just walking becomes an

interesting experience

While actively collaborating in the recovery and maintenance of

the Salt Valley, young volunteers will learn how to produce salt,

as salt makers do, using brine from springs, and taking advantage

of the sun and the wind, so that natural evaporation takes place.

The final target is to provide a complete view of the work salt

makers do throughout the year -as salt production is very

season-based-, and learn some of the techniques used in the

valley to build threshing pits.
COMPLEMENTARY ACTIVITIES - LEISURE ACTIVITIES: The activity team

will prepare a series of activities to get a knowledge about the

culture and the habits of the Basque Country (sports activities,

cultural visits, excursions, games..

ACCOMMODATION/FOOD: The accommodation of participants in the

workcamp will be held at the Hotel-Restaurant Palace of Ozpinas.

This hotel is within walking distance from Salt Valley.
