belief that every person in creative and the desire of living

with nature as one. The purpose of this workcamp is to continue

last year´s work.


COMPLEMENTARY ACTIVITIES - LEISURE ACTIVITIES: The activity team

Hill prepare activities so that the participants on the project

get to know something more about the culture and the habits of

the Basque Country (sports activities, cultural visits,

excursions, games ...
ACCOMMODATION/FOOD: In the neighbourhood of Otaza, at the

farmhouse next to the workcamp, it´s distributed in three

bedrooms for 20-25 people (bunk beds) Wide kitchen and dinning

hall.
LOCATION: It is located on Alava´s plain, in the municipality of

Barrundia, in Otaza neighbourhood, within the village of Ozaeta.

15 minutes from Vitoria-Gasteiz, the capital of the Basque area.

The environment where we are situated, it is an spectacular

nature area, just in front of a lake and 1 km far from its beach;

where it is possible to arrive crossing an amazing bush track

next to the river Zadorra. Incredible views of other hills in the

area and great walks to the mountains in Aizkorri-Aratz Natural

Park.
TRAVELLING INSTRUCTIONS: The nearest internacional aeroport is in

Bilbao, which is 88 km far from us.

Other important cities are Vitoria-Gasteiz and Donostia-San

Sebastian (close to the French border).

Later, you must take the bus from Vitoria to Ozaeta.

Description of Workcamp:


REGION: Region of País Vasco. Province of Vizcaya.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: This workcamp will allow young people around

the world to interact with people of this area, and work with

young people studying the nature and cultural landscape. The

volunteers of the workcamp will make sure that a group of

children and young people from the area, aged 3 to 14, improve

their knowledge of English while enjoying the impressive natural

surroundings. The volunteers of the workcamp will learn about the

customs, the culture, and the way of living in Busturialdea

through their interaction with the children and young people.

will prepare a series of activities to get a knowledge about the

culture and the habits of the Basque Country (sports activities,

cultural visits, excursions, games..

Description of Workcamp:
REGION: Region of Extremadura. Province of Cáceres.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The workcamp has the distinction of being

primarily an integrative field, where the participation of our

users, as well as people without disabilities, will provide

different values, but of course ´Normality´.

One of the main activities will be going to work eco-farming and

environment, developed through a gardening workshop, which will

work alongside people with disabilities and people without

disabilities.

Also We will try to instill the sporting culture, where we will

teach all kinds of sports, developing different values,

social-emotional, cognitive and motor development.

We will show to our volunteers the north of Extremadura, Park

Monfragüe Alagón Valley, Hurdes, Jerte Valley, Ambroz Valley and

of course the cultural and artistic wealth of Plasencia . We will

show our rural tourism through hiking trails that can be done on

foot, bicycle, horses, etc..

A serious and motivated project by the concern of a number of

teachers who want to give an awareness of the environment, the

benefits of physical activity, integration of disabled people and

the occupation of leisure and freetime.

ACCOMMODATION/FOOD: You can sleep on mats in classrooms that

exist on the farm, in tents in the camping area and the hostel.

In any case, you are guaranteed a minimum living conditions, with

toilets and showers.

The dining room is located in the central room enabled for the

catering service. All meals are made in this space and provided

with private catering.
LOCATION: The youth place, recognized by the Government of

Extremadura, is situated in the town of San Gil, Polygon 36,

parcel 14.

MEETING POINT: The first day, at 13:00.

We will pick our participants in Pedro and Francisco Gonzalez

street, 10 (in front of The Municipal Sports City, Placeat

Residence)- Plasencia (Cáceres).

Participants who will arrive later than 15:00 hours, must notify

the Youth Institute of Extremadura.


LANGUAGES SPOKEN: Spanish and english.
THINGS TO BRING: Sleeping bag and fitted sheet, flashlight,

flip-flops, bath and pool towels, swimwear, mountain footwear and

sportswear, other shoes, personal toiletries: shampoo, gel,

toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, cologne, etc ..., suitable

clothing and comfortable for working (pants or tights long

riders), small backpack, items in case of rain (umbrella or

raincoat), sunscreen with high SPF, cap, hat or head scarf,

European Health Card for EU volunteers.


PROFILE - COMMITMENT OF PARTICIPANTS:

Volunteers aged 18-30 years who want to know how is 24 hours of a

person with intellectual disabilities.
INTERNAL RULES:

Fulfill the specific obligations of the proposed work.

Accept the indications of the authorities and the other

participants, consensual issues concerning organizational and

other presets.

Contribute to the better attainment of the goals of the work

camp, for which no involvement with it ends when the daily work.

Active participation in the daily life of the field is central to

the dynamics.

Comply with timetable.

Do not consume alcohol or other drugs.

Incorporating to the workcamp must be the first day of each

shift. If there is justified cause, it shall inform the

organization about the delay, as well as exact time and date of

incorporation.

Participants may not leave the workcamp if not for cause, in

which case sign a letter renouncing his post explaining the

reasons for such waiver.

It is not allowed to use private vehicles during the workcamp.

It should show respect for all participants in the workcamp

regardless of disability, sex, religion, race, political or

religious ideas.

On Monday and Thursday, there will be a doctor in the town of San

Gil.

On Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, there will be a doctor in the

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

For as the assistants to the workcamp find an unforgettable

experience, we offer to all care, and a friendly atmosphere.

We seek to promote coexistence between volunteers and our users,

to make new friends, learn and have fun with our outdoor

activities.

You will find camp leaders, specialized educators to guide you

during your stay.

Swimming activities will be conducted in public swimming pools

and gorges, where the monitors have the lifeguard qualification.

Description of Workcamp:


REGION: Region of Extremadura. Province of Badajoz.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK:

Excavation: The excavations take place in the archaeological

sites of ´Fuentes de Leon caves´.

Laboratory work: In the laboratory, the workcamp´s participants

continue with their formation. This is due to the fact that they

can get familiarized with all the process that follows the

archeological material once it has been removed from the site.

Moreover, they can learn the analysis methods that apply the

specialists in the materials studied. The laboratory work is

dedicated to verify that the field data is correct, to the

preliminary study of the objects found and to their catalogation

and conservation.

Theoric formation: The camp´s participants learning is eminently

practical, given that it happens during the archaeological

excavation itself. This knowledge is then complemented with a

series of theoretic-formative chats and didactic workshops.


COMPLEMENTARY ACTIVITIES:

Formative chats on theoretic archaeology will talk about lithic

industry, fauna remains, human evolution, zooarchaeology, etc.

Meanwhile, the didactic archaeology workshops will focus on

prehistoric art, fire, tools, weapons, etc. Finally, some

historical and scientific audiovisuals and documentaries about

other archaeological sites will be shown.
ACCOMMODATION/FOOD: Camp assistants, together with monitors, will

be lodged in the municipal council refuges, located in

the hostel of Fuentes de Leon.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served in a restaurant whose

recipes are based in a typical spanish gastronomy.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Special dietary needs and any other

condition or limitation that prevents the normal development of

participant activities raised here, must be notified prior to the

workcamp´s Director.


LOCATION: The workcamp ´Fuentes de Leon´ takes place in Fuentes

de Leon, 51 km far from the city of Zafra, 115 km far from the

city of Sevilla.
TRAVELLING INSTRUCTIONS: If participants can´t arrive directly

from their original town to Zafra, they will have to travel by

train or by bus to the city preferably from Madrid (Madrid,

Spain) or Seville (Andalucía, Spain), as these cities are better

communicated with Zafra.

To know more about the transports¿ schedule and the different

possible itineraries, participants should write an e-mail to the

work camp organization, as they could offer them an actualized

data.
MEETING POINT: The first day at 18:00 h. n the bus station of

Zafra. Participants will be picked up there by the workcamp

organization.

Participants who could not arrive at that time for transport

reasons and should arrive the day before or after, will be picked

up individually by the organization. They will have to

communicate then, via e-mail, their arriving time.
LANGUAGES SPOKEN: Spanish and english.
THINGS TO BRING: Sleeping bag and/or sheets, towels and personal

hygiene materials, comfortable and resistant work clothes,

raincoat, bathing suit, suntan lotion, sun cup, working gloves,

water-bottle, European Health Card for EU volunteers.

In summer the archaeological excavations in this region tend to

develop under extreme heat and dry climate, making it very

convenient to wear light clothing required for the proper

transfer. Footwear must ensure foot comfort while performing the

work permit safely. It is also advisable to bring caps or hats to

protect from solar radiation and sunglasses and sunscreen broad

spectrum or the type of skin. Similarly, it is advisable to use

knee pads because much of the excavation will take place from

this position. All the tools needed to perform the work will be

provided by the organization.


SPECIFIC GOALS:

To intervene directly in an archaeological excavation as an

investigator that has been developed for several years.

To know the strategies and methods of excavation cave.

Giving back to the recovery of the historical values of the

Monument.

Provide operational tools that enable the participant to the

recognition, documentation and analysis of structures and

archaeological materials.

Knit a network of cooperation among participants and organizers

agents beyond the development of the Field of Labor (hereinafter

CT) in order to achieve seamless, creating an extension of the

educational experience designed to maintain professional contact

equally beneficial for both parties.

Start participants on the principle of stewardship as central

axis on which to articulate human relationships and professionals

in an environment of teamwork.

Disseminate the results of the C.T. through an interactive

activity that involves the transmission of understandable, but

subdued, the villagers of the participants host, thus giving

positive feedback or return of the knowledge society.

Promote values of resilience among participants taking into

account that start in a demanding job but one that can make huge

personal and professional satisfaction.


PROFILE - COMMITMENT OF PARTICIPANTS: The volunteerS must come

loaded with eager to work and willing to open their minds to new

approaches in the field. Preferentially seek people with

experience in field archeology or who are taking the degree of

archeology and history.
INTERNAL RULES: The Submitter must ensure at all times enjoy the

learning experience trying to maintain an attitude of commitment

and respect for their peers. Workcamp can be tough at times, so

the volunteer must show solidarity with the work done by the

other teammates. Issues concerning the organization and

coexistence should be accepted and assumed by each participant.

REGION: Region of Galicia. Province of A Coruña.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Archaeological intervention in the Castro of

Gastrar: excavation, cleaning, documentation and archaeological

draws of structures.

COMPLEMENTARY ACTIVITIES - LEISURE ACTIVITIES: Archaeological

workshop: ceramic and drawing.

Workshops: music and Galician language and Galician legends and

customs.

A walk around the heritage places of Boqueixón. Approach to the

history, culture and festivals of Boqueixón. Visit the Natural

Park Dunes of Corrubedo and visit to Castro of Baroña.

Approach to the world of Galician horse breed.

Hiking trails (Pico Sacro and Río Grande).

Note: These activities are for your guidance and may be changed

in the development of workcamp.


ACCOMMODATION/FOOD: Participants will stay at the School of

Agricultural Training in Sergude (Boqueixón).

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided by specialized

staff.


Volunteers will be picked up by bus or by car everyday from the

youth camp to the place of work.


LOCATION: Boqueixón belongs to Santiago de Compostela region on

the south of A Coruña Province on Galicia Region, on the

northwest of Spain.

The denominated Castro (Fort) of Gastrar is in the parish of

Gastrar. It´s a fortified settlement of the Iron Age with

´mámoas´(dolmens).

To arrive at Boqueixón by car, you must leave the road (N525)

from Santiago de Compostela to Ourense.
