After Long and honorable service in active operations against the enemy, General Dantant took Command of the 13th Region, in which were subsequently located a large variety of American military activities. The unbroken harmony which characterized the relations between the French and American authorities was due in no small degree to his tact and breadth of vision, and by his constant desire to further our interests in every possible manner he rendered services of inestimable value to the American Expeditionary Forces.

General D'Armau de Pouydraguin Commanded with distinction the 67th Chasseurs Division, with which a large number of American troops had the honor of serving.
