Inspection + Repair

  • Remove the fan tanks for leaks.

  • Check upper tanks for leaks.

  • Check the tins for being bent or clogged.

  • Check the lower tank for leaks.

  • Remove the attaching bolts lower tank for leaks.


Instruction



  • Fill the cooling system with coolant. Add the proper amount of anti-freeze depending upon the weather conditions.

  • Run the engine for several minutes & check for radiator leak. Make pressure test of the radiator cap using the pressure tester of the radiator cap cannot hold its rated pressure replace the cap may also allow coolant 100s + Engine overheating.


Water Pump Servicing Removal

  • Drain the cooling System.

  • Remove the radiator

  • Loosen the generator adjusting arm bolt the two Generator. Pivot bolts release the tension on the belt Remove the four water pump attaching the bolts. Remove the watch pump gasket.

Inspection + Repair

  • Check the impeller of worm or damaged vanes + check the seal on the rear of the impeller to be sure. It is in good condition Install a new impeller if the seat or Vanes are damaged.

  • Check the individual parts of the bearing shaft & slinger assembly for links scores or other damage & the Slinger for correct position on the shaft. If the bearing shaft are undamaged & the slinger is damaged or incorrectly positioned remove talk care not to damage the shaft.

  • Check both parts of the pump housing for cracks fracture or sign of leaks.

  • If there are any defective parts install ones.


Installation

  • Position a new water pump gasket place the water pump on to the front of the cylinder block & install the four attaching bolts, tighten the bolts to the specified torque.

  • Fill the cooling system the engine check of the leaks.


Drive Belts

  • Troubles: - Poor circulation of water in cooling system.

  • Cause:- Loose Fan Belt

Inspection

  • Check the water pump drive belt at least once a year for wear tension.

  • To check a v-bolt twist the belt in your fingers look for small cracks grease glaring tears or splits replaced any belt that shows sings of deterioration.

  • Most serpentine belt tension that maintains proper tension on the bolt to remove or install the belt compress the tension to release tension on the belts


Thermostat Servicing

The thermostat is located in the coolant outlet connection in the front of The cylinder head thermostat opening & flow open temperatures are listed in the specification.
