Figure 33 OIL FILTER SERVICING change the oil filter with every oil change or every other oil change accordine to the operating condition most filters instaled by hand clean filters moant recess with clean shop towel make scale the old filter sealing gasket does not remain on the engine coat the sealing gasket on the new filter than install the new filter tighten it antill the gasket contects the filter base on the engine then tighten the filter an additional 3/4 to 1 turns start the engine check for teaks.
