<888> 03/25/14 Tuesday 2:15 A.M.  I was able to get all the Windows Updates except two security updates installed on the IBM ThinkCentre in front of the mahogany bureau by installing them 2 to 3 at a time.  CIO

<888> 03/24/14 Monday 10:45 P.M.  I ate two 3 ounce Purdue chicken cutlets and steamed baby carrots cut lengthwise into quarters and 12 ounces of mashed potatoes with Smart Balance Spread and extra virgin olive oil on the vegetables and a 12 ounce glass of Schweppes Ginger Ale and a cup of green tea with Splenda sweetener and Borden lemon juice.  CIO

<888> 03/24/14 Monday 9:45 P.M.  I ate an ounce of almonds.  I installed all of the Windows Updates on all of the other computers http://mikelouisscott.com/computer.htm .  On the IBM ThinkCentre along side the Ethan Allen recliner and the IBM ThinkCentre in the bedroom, I had to unplug the USB devices to get the Windows Updates to install.  Also on the IBM ThinkCentre in front of the Mahogany bureau, the Windows Updates would not install even with the USB devices unplugged, so I just left it without the Windows Updates.  I chatted with a relative.  CIO

<888> 03/24/14 Monday 5:25 P.M.  I threw out the garbage.  I moved the Volvo wagon to its usual place.  I picked up the mail.  CIO

<888> 03/24/14 Monday 2:15 P.M.  I woke up at 12:30 P.M..  I called a out of town comment line.  They said they could not hear me well because I guess my wireless telephone in the kitchen is not clear.   I ate breakfast of oatmeal with honey and milk, a toasted whole wheat bagel with olive oil, a 12 ounce glass of 50% punch and 50% cold filtered water and vitamins and supplements, and a cup of coffee with milk and Splenda sweetener.  I washed the breakfast dishes.  I made my bed.  I chatted with a friend.  CIO

<888> 03/24/14 Monday 12:15 A.M.  When I was downtown on this past Saturday afternoon.  I saw a train go by going west to east pulling an unknown number of coal cars.  I did not see the whole train, so I was not able to tell how many coal cars it was pulling.  Also I could not tell if the coal cars were loaded or not.  Also at the bottom of Greenwich Avenue on the east side where the new building is, the vacant lot on its south side has a new construction fence around it.  What is strange if that there are about 20 large 2 foot by 6 foot by 3 foot cement blocks they placed on the vacant lot.  I do not know if they are for some sort of foundation support for a new construction project or not.  The vacant lot is where the old Thataway Restaurant Patio used to be.  CIO

<888> 03/23/14 Sunday 10:45 P.M.  I took a metal mixing bowl, and I broke three large eggs into it, and I added two tablespoons of milk, ground black pepper, Italian spices, celery salt, bacon bits, a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil and grated parmesan and Romano cheese, and I mixed it all together with a whisk.  I took my ten inch seasoned omelet pan, and I put it on a small burner with two tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil in the pan, and I heated it over medium electric burner heat, and until the olive oil was hot.  I then added the egg mixture.  Once the bottom side of the egg mixture was hard enough to flip, I flipped it over with a spatula, and I put three slices of deli sliced Danish ham and two slices of Stop and Shop deli sliced Swiss cheese on one half side, and I flipped the other half side on top of it, and I slid it onto a dinner plate.  I ate the omelet with a toasted whole wheat bagel with extra virgin olive oil on it, and a 12 ounce glass of Schweppes Ginger Ale.  CIO

End of Scott's Notes week of 03/23/14

<888> 03/23/14 Sunday 4:50 A.M.  I will now send out my weekly notes for what they are worth, if anything.  I will then shut down the primary home made www.ibm.com clone 32 bit computer.  I will then eat a muffin.  I will next try to go to bed.  I guess I am back on a night schedule, since the daytime people do not like seeing my fat glamorous self around the skinny people haven of Greenwich Avenue.  CIO

<888> 03/23/14 Sunday 4:00 A.M.  I made a number of telephone calls to various individuals on my speed dial list whom are awake at this hour.  Since the person who told me that the missing Malaysian Boeing 777 jet is in Iran as reported two and a half weeks ago, and since the Shah of Iran's family have moved out of Greenwich, Connecticut along with the Ali Khan, more than likely from the report two and a half weeks ago, it said the missing Boeing 777 jet could be reconfigured as a weapon, so possibly members of the local international community are moving to areas that they feel might be more secure.  However, it could all be a Chinese Paper Tiger trying to scare us.  I do not have the real answer, even if there were a real answer.  My personal viewpoint is that a group of con artist gypsies whom are well known called the Irish Travelers from Murphyville, South Carolina might be trying to scare people for profit.  They have been reported on many times in the Greenwich Time, so maybe they became high tech and international in their crimes or networked up with other international criminals.  I do not have the answer.  Having lived around the Irish in Boston and New York and Chicago, I happen to know a lot of Irish whom are involved in law enforcement whom might know more.  However, from the world geo political viewpoint, there are only 6 million people in Ireland, 2.5 million people in Northern Ireland, and a small scattering of them outside around the world, so they are not a major geopolitical force worldwide.  Since John www.harvard.edu was a minister from the Prison area of London, England, and he also died of tuberculosis, possibly people with Harvard degrees have some sort of problems with British law enforcement.  The area of Summerville, South Carolina which has lots of pine trees which use to be used for tuberculosis cures in the old days, since the pine was a heeling ingredient.  Decatur, Alabama where I also once lived had a tuberculosis sanatorium, when I lived there.  I am a computer techie, and not a medical person or geopolitician, but I do read a lot of bits and pieces of various news stories published in the English language in North America.  CIO

<888> 03/22/14 Saturday 7:25 P.M.  I threw out the garbage.  I went downtown, and I walked the entire length of Greenwich Avenue and the train station area.  I sat out at various locations.  I stopped by Zen Stationary, and I played a Ace's High scratch card for a dollar, but I lost.  I toured CVS.  I chatted with two town officials.  I chatted with someone smoking a Havana Cigar from Dunhill's in Toronto.  I was told the Shah of Iran's family have moved from Greenwich, Connecticut to Paris, France.  The Aga Khan's primary residence is now Monte Carlo.  The missing Malaysian Boeing 777 jet is in Iran.  I told a Greenwich Police office how much Panasonic Toughbooks cost today.  I am not sure which model they currently use.  I sat out after my walk.  I used the bathroom at Starbucks.  I played another Ace's High scratch card at Zen Stationary, but I lost.  For the Irish only, they are suppose to have the St. Patrick's Day parade on Greenwich Avenue tomorrow Sunday March 23, 2014.  That probably means people will not be able to park downtown tomorrow.  I next went by the Stop and Shop.  I bought two 10.4 ounce Chock Full of Nuts New York Blend Coffee for $3.49 both, a 15 ounce A1 Tabasco steak sauce for $2.34, a 30 ounce Hellmann's Olive Oil mayonnaise for $2.50, deli sliced Stop and Shop Danish ham for $5.99 a pound for $6.41, bananas for .79 a pound for $2.24, two 8 ounce Perdue short cut Italian style chicken strips for $3 each, a 24 ounce Simply Mashed mashed potatoes for $2, and a half dozen Eggland large eggs expire April 17, 2014 for $2.35 for $26.68 total.  CIO

The Panasonic Toughbook CF-29 laptop computer is all setup with the new hard drive, and it runs just the same as before.  It has about 57 gigabytes of free hard drive space.  However, I disabled the Belkin wireless startup program, since it made Internet Explorer ask for a Belkin password which I do not have.  However, when one starts the Belkin wireless application from the desktop, it does not ask for a password in internet explorer.  Besides the Belkin card, I have built-in Panasonic wireless.  Although, the Panasonic CF-29 Toughbook is a bit slow starting up, once it starts up and loads all of its devices and software, it runs just fine.  In an emergency, if I had to go into the field, it is a very rugged computer.  I have $457.75 into its setup with all of its parts and accessories, although it is probably only worth half that today.  However, with the new hard drive, it should have long life.  The battery still shows a full charge.  Before you snub your nose at it, remember a new Panasonic Toughbook costs a lot more $4,319.99 Panasonic Toughbook 31 - Core i5 3340M / 2.7 GHz - Windows 7 Pro - 4 GB RAM - 50    CIO

<888> 03/21/14 Friday 9:10 P.M.  After I finished restoring the Paragon backup on the Panasonic Toughbook CF29 laptop computer, and I rebooted it, and it booted up just fine and also the boot manager now works properly without having the small Windows 7 boot manager pre partition.  I went downstairs, and I sat outside for a while installing the Windows Updates.  I picked up the mail.  I resent a fax for a neighbor.  I chatted with the neighbor for a while, and I gave the neighbor a 12 ounce glass of Schweppes Ginger Ale.  I chatted with a relative.  I am still installing the windows updates.  CIO

<888> 03/21/14 Friday 6:10 P.M.  I was able to install the new 80 GB hard drive on the Panasonic Toughbook CF29 without any problem.  I had to gently remove and reattach some foam rubber used for cushioning.  I am restoring the Paragon Backup from July 13, 2013 from the Seagate 2 TB external hard drive.  Since the Panasonic Toughbook CF29 is an older laptop computer, I had to use the Paragon restore version 10 CD.  The most recent version would not boot.  I have about 15 minutes to go on the restore.  I made the entire partition 80 GB.  CIO

<888> 03/21/14 Friday 4:45 P.M.  I went downstairs, and I chatted with neighbors.  I walked around the building again.  I sat outside some more and chatted with neighbors.  I saw two robins a sign of spring.  I moved some of the items from the back seat of the Volvo wagon to the rear compartment.  I set the driver's side front seat further back.  I can not figure out how to set the memory button, but I will look at the Volvo manual at a later date.  I chatted with another neighbor, and I sent a fax for that neighbor.  The order with tracking of UPS Tracking and UPS Tracking on the two orders for http://1sale.com/electronics/audio-gaming/weather-alert-radio/ for $9.99 each with free shipping arrived.  Also the order with tracking of https://tools.usps.com/go/TrackConfirmAction?qtc_tLabels1=9274890100045711761835 on the order for $33.99 with free shipping Western Digital Scorpio 80gb 2.5 IDE/PATA 5400rpm Laptop Internal Hard Drive arrived.  I will now see if I can install the new hard drive in the Panasonic CF29 Toughbook laptop computer and then restore the Paragon backup and install the Windows updates which will take a while.  CIO

<888> 03/21/14 Friday 1:50 P.M.  I threw out the garbage.  I pulled one of the orange traffic cones out of the snow pile, and I put it with the other orange traffic cones.  I walked around the building at 71 Vinci Drive.  I inspected the upstairs apartment, where they are putting in the new freight elevator.  I was told they are not putting in storage rooms in the basement, which would have been useful.  Technically I have done construction in Greenwich, Connecticut, New Canaan, Connecticut, Boston, Massachusetts, Waltham, Massachusetts, Weston, Massachusetts,  Lake Forest, Illinois, Manhattan, New York, Locust Valley, Long Island, New York, Greenville, South Carolina, Nantucket Island, Massachusetts, Key West, Florida, Chestnut Hills, Pennsylvania, Ardmore, Pennsylvania, Wyndmore, Pennsylvania, and Plandome Manor, Long Island, New York, but I got out of the business in November 1983 after the last project around November 1985, when I cut a passage way from the garage apartment bathroom in Plandome Manor, Long Island to the main house kitchen hallway.  My arthritis got to be too bad by that time, so I quit the construction business, and I read for a number of years, and then I got into the personal computer business around 1990.  Alas none of the ventures lead into any full time occupation, since I was too old by the time, I started working with personal computers.  CIO

<888> 03/20/14 Thursday 8:15 P.M.   I took the wire rack out of the Faberware Turbo convection oven, and I preheated the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit about five minutes.  While doing that I unwrapped the 14.06 ounce Greenway four cheese frozen pizza made in Italy, and I put it on the wire rack, and I seasoned it with celery salt, ground black pepper, garlic salt, Italian seasoning, a generous portion of grated Parmesan and Romano cheese, and extra virgin Italian olive oil over it all.  I then put the pizza on the rack in the Farberware Turbo convection oven on the center rack position for ten minutes.  After ten minutes, I used pot holders to take out the hot rack with pizza, and I put it on a wooden cutting board, so it would not burn the Formica counter top.  I then used a spatula to slide the pizza on to a dinner plate.  I ate it with a knife and fork along with a 12 ounce glass of Schweppes Ginger Ale.  CIO
