"Enough!" And now your hands are forced to cease their work.
Your place of residence tells something about who you are. You did not desire the will of God. You desired the will of your own wickedness. You have not loved righteousness and hated wickedness. You have desired all that is evil and hated what is Good.
In your end, even now you hate the one who made you. So be it! What is yours belongs to you. What is His belongs to Him. Yours is death, destruction and End. What is His is Life and Praise and Eternity.
Now your complaint is mixed with tears that have no water, desiring to fall from eyes which cannot see. For you know those you knew in the Land of the Dead. You know they too will soon join you.
Your silent complaint will fall on deaf ears as you mingle together as one group. You would not listen nor would you teach. Now you have been assigned your rightful place.
So be it! Await your destruction with forced patience. You will work the work you are now forced to endure. The command has arrived, "Lay still and await the Holy Fire which will consume you. You will receive the wages due to your greed and praise of self."
Cut short! Cut short is he who hates the Lord. Stopped in the midst of stride. Errant desires obliterated. A multitude of shining days reduced to the deepest of darkness. You are but Fuel to flames; ashes of ethyl substance, yet to become.
Be wise and listen, you who now thrive with self-purpose in the Land of the Dead. Hear the unspoken testimony of those whose lips are sealed. Take note of their plight for it will soon be yours.
Persuasion from heaven - 2014-04-15 10:22
A man cannot expect to persuade the men of the city by going out into the desert to preach to rocks. Who would hear him that they may understand?
And if the man himself is not persuaded, he only testifies without knowledge. He will only persuade to the sum of what he has.
But if a man has been to the desert to be persuaded, then what he has is more than the sum of men.
Such a man will find himself driven to the city to bear what he has received. And the strength of his persuasion will persuade.
What he has received will not be hidden. His understanding will mark his persuasion with fire. Without effort or false intent he will speak living words.
Let the people of the Lord Jesus cease persuading until they have gone out into the desert to be persuaded themselves. Let us go and receive the best of heaven. Why waste time persuading with what is the best of men?
May the Living God grant understanding.
Many men - 2014-04-16 06:45
Many men do the things that are good. Thousands and millions, even now, give praise to God through Christ Jesus. Forced to their knees in prayer by the Holy Love that is Christ, they give earnest prayer that their life might come to reflect the will of the living God.
His holy law is written on their hearts and seared into their mind. And before the world awakes, these have come before Him that they may be prepared for the things the day will bring. He will honor what is His. And as he gives to them, they receive.
The world will see them all day long. The world will see the witness that glows in all their actions and speech. The world will know these men are different. But they will not understand the reason or means for it.
Thousands and millions have received. But millions and billions are yet blind, deaf and righteously infirm. They do not have foundation of life.
It is for the sake of these dead that Jesus has given what is His. It is for the sake of the millions and billions that He dresses His people in righteous behavior.
Not one of His people were born righteous. They are of those dead; those millions and billions of lifeless souls. Their eyes have been opened and their ears released to hear.
If you would be a part of them then ask. Appeal to God. Seek His face while it is yet dark. Go into a secluded room. And ask. Make it your habit to seek the face of the Holy Lord. For God is not willing that any should die.
He searches the earth to listen and to see.
Finding those who bend a humble knee.
Those who cry out loud, "God forgive me!"
These catch the attention of HE.
End of ages - 2014-04-16 09:58
The question has been asked, "What is man that you are mindful of him, the Son of man that you care for him? Truly a ponderous question.
Who are we that God has created such a place as this? And who is Christ Jesus that he should be sent to fulfill a new covenant between man and God? He was even required to seal this new covenant with His blood.
We are witness to how creation moans and groans for a place of fulfillment. And we ourselves look for a hope, indicating that we have not yet received that for which we hope. Our hope finds fulfillment in the end of this age; and that by the beautiful sacrifice of he who was sent, even Christ Jesus.
But the writer of Hebrews tells us something marvelous. Christ Jesus has come at the end of all ages in regard to creation. " But he has appeared once for all at the culmination of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself." ( Hebrews 9: 26)
We take note of the fullness of Christ's sacrifice. That he has, once and for all, offered himself. In his work for the Father creation finds fulfillment. At the end of this age then, creation becomes complete.
From our moment of Transfiguration we enter into the perfect rest of God. Who then are we that we should be considered? We become the fulfillment of God's creation as we are dressed completely in what is perfect and true. We are the Bride of Christ for the sake of his glory. Our Transfiguration will become final act of creation.
This adds purpose to the gospel. All the more urgent is our need to witness and testify. We speak of death. But the sacrifice of Christ speaks of life, the eternal peace of God, and the end of creation; the work of establishing eternity.
There will not be another opportunity to secure your place among the people of God. There is destruction. There is no purgatory. What you do now is what you will be forever. Those who worship Christ Jesus, learn from him what is holy, and obey according to the father's will, these alone will enter his time of rest at the end of all these creation ages.
The great chasm - 2014-04-18 12:19
Unholy is he who desires to please man. Unholy is she who dresses to entice. The way of the Lord is narrow; only what is holy can walk in it.
Do not the fool by the prosperity of the wicked. By decree they are allowed to walk close to the path. Even if they stretch their feet to be near the path, they are by no means on it.
What is holy is life. What is unholy is death. What man can divide between the two? Such wisdom comes from God alone.
Man will say he loves. But his life is apparent by his appearance; desire for this world and a love of self dresses them.
The love of God is full of wisdom, discernment, holiness, justice, righteousness, mercy, propriety and continuity. The division between what is holy and what is unholy is eternally fixed. It is divided by an endlessly deep chasm.
If some man would walk the narrow way, he must receive from God. It cannot be that a man should read and do. The good things he may read are not from man. They are delivered by He alone who has life to give.
Would you like some vinegar with that? - 2014-04-18 20:34
Many have painted the gospel through the perspective of man's compassion. They focus on our need for hope, joy and compassion. As is reasonable they see the suffering of man and turn the gospel toward them as a solution.
The broken hearted, the humble, and those discarded in this world, may benefit greatly from this purpose of delivery. It is to these that the gospel of Jesus Christ finds the greatest effectiveness. These perceive the need. These are most pleased to hear it. We remember it is written he who is forgiven much loves much. And the Lord came to seek and to save those who are lost.
But that message does little to the man who is proud or rich in the things of this world. Such men perceive a compassionate message as a license to sin. They may well see the love of God as a weakness to be exploited.
There is another view of the gospel. Those who are hungry for righteousness and desire what is good will find this other side of the gospel in due time.
While the gospel speaks strongly of compassion, tenderness, mercy and forgiveness, it also speaks strongly about the judgment to come. The first is more pleasant to deliver. And the relief it brings is sweet. While the second is more like serving someone a glass of pure vinegar. It is a severe test of a man's desire.
Many preach the sweetest part of the gospel. But let us not lay aside the severity of the coming judgement. We do no one any favors by sugar coating the Word of God.
Serving a King - 2014-04-19 08:57
I remember when I first came to the Lord. I was told to revere Jesus as a King. I said to myself, then to Him, "I do not know how to serve a king. I have been raised a free man. And I have no respect for the ways of those in leadership in this country. How can I know to serve you as King?"
His reply to me has taken decades. I am beginning to understand the concept of King. I believe the full understanding will have to wait till heaven. But there are two things that are worth saying in regard to this.
1. I have heard many use affectionate names in public for the Lord Jesus and God the Father. Names such as daddy, papa and so on. They use names of familiarity. But what about the holy Lord is familiar to us?
What a man does between he and God in private is of no consequence to me. But the words he uses to describe what is holy in public is a reflection of his understanding. And every time we use such names we give our understanding to others.
It is not my job to judge the relationship of a man to the Holy Lord God Almighty and his Holy Son. But I have found some men of this nature in great error.
How we refer to the "Great I am" says a lot about what we believe. One such man did not believe that holiness was even possible in the flesh, let alone a command from the Holy Lord. He openly used the word "papa" to describe his God. And the doctrines he promoted were of the flesh.
What will be his end is not for me to determine. But his view of God was obscured by wicked desire. As quickly as was reasonable I abandoned his company. We are not to entertain the doctrines of demons.
2. God is Holy. What He has given us is for our reference. To Moses he identified himself as "I am that I am". And Jesus said, "You call me Lord and rightly so." How should we presume to bring his holy name down to our level? It is we who should rise toward Him.
Yet how shall we who are full of darkness understand what is Holy? The Lord will teach us over time. The longer I serve Him the more I understand, and so it will be for all who serve Him in the holy faith.
__________________
Such men, as the first, put a stumbling block before those who are learning. But if a man will continue in the way of God he will be taught what is good and true.
In weakness and lack of understanding we are tiny and hopelessly tossed about by every breeze of teaching that comes along. But the Lord knows your state of affairs.
Read the Bible that you may know what is true and correct. Then do the things it says. Both of these will help you discern what is right and true and holy. And the Holy Spirit of Jesus will teach you what is Holy.
Do not accept every man who speaks the name of Jesus. Test the spirits. Bring your lack to the Lord. He is ever willing and able to guide you into what is true. Only be diligent in your desire to understand.
We serve the Lord through the darkness of faith. But in this faith we have more light in us then does the world or those who pervert the way. Do not fear. If you put your faith in the living God he will direct you to the holy path.
Millions have fallen away because of a lack of understanding. They did not trust. Therefore they did not receive. This will not be so of those who apply themselves with great diligence.
Men study for years to become proficient in their trade which earns them money. How long then is it right to persevere that we may gain a place in heaven? Renew your efforts. Give God more importance in your heart.
If destruction is our natural reward, how hard should we struggle against it? And if we fall away for a simple lack of knowledge, how shall we propose to stand on the holy day of the Lord?
What more can be said? With what may a man convince the weak? How can I strengthen you? I have said enough.
The last act - 2014-04-19 18:00
Ladies and gentlemen! I want to thank you for patiently attending the pageantry of "Rebellion and Death". We do hope you've enjoyed the show.
Our staff has worked tirelessly to bring you the very best in greed, corruption, chaos, rebellion, lewdness, and carnage. Feel free to give them a hand if you happen to have one empty.
And we are glad to take note that you have purchased all our trinkets. The commander of the trinket booth has told me that he even had to buy some back to sell to the new customers. We are exceedingly pleased, not only at your attendance, but also your participation in our schedule and amenities.
The show is almost over. From here out many of you will find our display a bit unpalatable for children. Any of you who feels a bit squeamish about holiness and judgment are welcome to leave. That is. of course. if you can find your way out.
You see this will be our last stage. The owner of this place has called the lease. (A lease that is non-renewable, I might add.) He has sealed all the doors but one.
His guards are stationed there as you can see. I will advise you that you may leave if you have the right price. The cost is everything you own. And frankly, no one leaves without a prepurchased ticket.
However, if you are pathetically poor and naked and blind and wretched like me, you will be sure to enjoy the rest of the show.
We are extremely excited about the last act. The owner of this place has orchestrated it himself. Without further adieu shall we proceed.
Yes HE is! - 2014-04-20 07:27
The Holy Lord, the God of Eternity who has made this place, is risen from the dead! He has been given all authority over heaven and earth. He sits at the right hand of the sovereign God of Glory.
If a man accomplishes a great task we can say with confidence he was always able to do it. And we must admit we were wrong to doubt.
If the man told us he would do it we were wicked to call him a liar. And now the proof of our folly stands before us. Who, in his right mind, would stand before what the man has built and say it does not exist?
From eternity the Lord Jesus was able to attain this Great position. Doubt and accusation has reduced the evil one to less than he was. And this was done long before the world was created. So he went about perverting.
And even when the Great Holy Temple of our Lord Jesus was completed the devil has not ceased his perverting.
I do not say this to cast accusation against the devil. I say this to shine a brilliant light on all who would speak evil of the Holy Lord of life. I say this to all men who observe the holy place in which they live yet cast aspersions on the One who made it.
Am I wrong to call creation a holy place? Does the Sun rise over millions of years without failing? Do the seasons cease or become disordered? Does heat and cold fail to be? Then how do men assail the Holiness of God who made this place?
The Lord Jesus has risen from the dead as was prophesied by the Holy Lord God Almighty. Let men doubt as they will. Let them mock Him with their own parade of wickedness; even on this day of celebration for His glory.
His holy ways are before us day and night. They are like the fool who stands before the finished building and says it is not there. They are the ones who have blinded their own eyes because they live in derision, rebellion and lies.
We are born in sin. Yet all our life we observe what is holy and consistent. Where is understanding? How does it evade the fool? How can man love ignorance, while the proof rages a torrent against his unbelief?
The Holy Lord Jesus is risen from the dead! And now the accusations against The Father's enemies become His. Let the nations rant and rage against the Holy Lord Jesus! They are the ones who will suffer.
The Holy Lord Jesus is risen from the dead!
Hammer down! - 2014-04-20 18:05
A young man got a magnificent job offer; great pay great benefits and a great work environment. The only problem was he had to drive 80 miles everyday across rural country to get to work and back.
On his first day he started to drive and came across a small country town. He saw the speed limit that said 35 miles per hour. But he thought, "Its just a tiny town I'll do 45." What a fateful decision that was. He got about halfway through and was pulled over by the town policeman.
The policeman got out of his car and walked up to the drivers window. The man expected words and a ticket. That's not what he got.
The police officer reached for his gun and put the muzzle against the man's temple. With a soft smooth voice and a very tiny smile the police officer said, "You speed through my town again son and I'll blow your brains out." With no other words the police officer just turned, walked back to his car and drove away.
The man worked for that company for 15 years. Everyday he worked he had to drive through that town twice. And every time he went through the town he made sure his car was only moving at 35 miles an hour.
If we would agree with the young man in his response to the insanity of the police officer, why do we not think God is serious? The wages of sin is death. Why then do men keep on sinning?
Mark 12: 17 - 2014-04-21 08:37
You do not understand Christianity because you are not of it. You use its basic tenets as foundation for your own law, which you freely break at will. Therefore your own hands cover your eyes.
But you will testify that you use no such basic tenets for the law of man. You say you are free men. You will say that your laws are but logical sequence used to establish peace among men. You say there is no obligation to do the things of Christ; there is only obligation toward a central strength to establish and retain peace among men.
All that you do is for the sake of the shape of the human body, and the place where we are caused to be. Man's desire, ability and history shape the things you love to call law. Desire and history are sure and unbreakable (though they may be written in a variety of form). But ability changes according to the ingenuity of man. And so you willingly break your own law for the sake of expediency. And corruption has therefore made you filthy.
The basic tenets of Christ are within your law because the shape of man requires it. But your desire frustrates and explodes the law of Christ. You nullify His law by adding to it for the sake of what you call advancement and convenience.
You cannot break the law of God. The very shape of man demands obedience. But you create more; and this "more" you are able to break. Then you add to your folly by turning and blaming the law of God for your faults, which law is at the very root of your own.
Such things are not hidden now. Such things will not be hidden then. The law of God is established, unmovable and unbreakable. But the work of man's hands is futile folly; before it is written it is broken.
Return, he who has understanding, to "the laws of God undefiled". Leave the work of your hands. Submit to the true law of Christ. Give to Caesar what is Caesar's and to God what is God's.
Flamboyant - 2014-04-21 09:36
The word flamboyant is such a curious word. At its root are two terms. The first indicates a flame. The second means to float.
The entire premise behind the two words combined is to have an irrepressible flame which floats above repression.
Since flamboyant is usually reserved for the rich, its meaning can be understood as a derision. It is usually used to describe their understanding of self importance, and the subsequent display among men.
Should a Christian appreciate being referred to as flamboyant?
Being Complete - 2014-04-21 10:52
To read and understand the Bible is a good. But let us not stop there. For the living words speak of The Living God, who is immeasurably more.
The Bible speaks of things which pertain to this age of salvation. But He is from ages past. The man who thinks he has accomplished God's desire for him, because he has read, understood and can recite the Bible, has missed the entire meaning of the Holy Scripture.
All things written therein are passed down to us to provoke us to seek "He who is all". We are not "in Him" because we have read the words. We become "in Him" as He leads us to do the impossible; obey the Father's Holy will.
The Holy words show us what His beautiful will is. But only by The Holy Son is the obedience gained with completeness. Seek His lovely companionship. Then be willing to listen. He alone can lead us to what is pure and holy.
Worthy? - 2014-04-24 09:45
Nothing we write, speak or do means anything compared to whose we are. All three of those are only reflection who or what we worship. And we all know that quasi gods abound; the variety of motivation is as plentiful as the dust particles on the earth. Each man can potentially own over a billion different motives in his short life.
None of the writings in this blog are of any value if the Living God is not at the heart of my life. Not a thought I may have is worth anything if I don't know Him. No deed I may a do will suffice if it fails to give Him Glory.
Fame is worthless. The best of man's thoughts are but conjecture (and this from biased perspective). And regardless our intention not one of us can do anything " Good".
If that is true of me as I write, it is also true of you as you read. I am nothing. He is everything. And you are the reason He has blessed me.
BEST - 2014-04-26 08:01
Regarding man's righteousness; his ability to perform in this life in a manner worthy of God's acceptance:
Man can learn to do many things. He is able to build towering structures, both material and spiritual. He is able to clean and maintain all that he has. He can keep the streets clear of clutter. And he can produce a life free of wilful sins.
But the righteousness that pleases God is more. For man can only work with what he has been given. Man is born a receiver. Nothing he can do that is "best", is anything more than maintaining what he has been allowed to have. Therefore, nothing "best" we can do is as "Best", as God defines "Best".
Jesus is the very Word of the Living God. He has been so from the beginning of creation. What He has done is God stuff. His righteousness is not received, He is the origin of all that is purely Righteous. He, being the first and direct offspring of God, is not a receiver. He is a pure giver.
Can man possibly compete with that? Is he even wise to try? God Himself has proclaimed the place of Christ. Who is man to challenge, with his uninformed mind?
Let Jesus be your righteousness. Stop seeking to impress God. Jesus is the only One who can do that. TRUST!
Spiritual smell - 2014-04-28 07:12
15 "For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. 16 To the one we are an aroma that brings death; to the other, an aroma that brings life. And who is equal to such a task?" (2nd Corinthians chapter 2)
The last sentence is more then the previous. Christ Jesus will be all in all; to those who are willing and those who are not.
Is, Was, Will Be - 2014-04-29 11:41
When I wrote these words they were my "now". When you read these words they appeared before you in your "now". But as each word "was" written or read, it is no longer "now". Each word became what was. That sounds like gibberish. But it speaks of something vastly important.
We may remember but we cannot re-live. It is only give unto man that he may live in what is. Why then do we all struggle so hard to live in what was? And how do we know that our memory is clear? How do we know that we remember with fullness of understanding?
Who can change what has been done? We may do again so that we may rectify what we found wrong. But that does not change what has been done. It only "does" again.
The past and the future are equally beyond our grasp. In our memories we are helpless. And the future looms as darkness. Man is utterly helpless.
God in His wisdom created time; moments of "IS" come and go relentlessly. Like a singular spike in an eternal line of doing. Who has ears to hear this? Who is willing to understand?
If a man has peace in what was it is because God has had mercy and forgiven. If a man is not afraid of what is coming it is because he trusts the promise of the Holy One.
Anxiety lives just behind us and just in front. But true peace is found in what is. As long as we strive to live in what we remember we will face anxiety. As long as we brace ourselves for what comes next anxiety dresses us as a garment. But peace is found in faith alone.
The name of the sovereign God is "I am that I am". He alone owns what was. And He does with it what pleases Him. He alone owns what will be. And He alone does what pleases Him to do. Why then do his people live looking backward or straining forward?
Since we cannot change what was, we are forced to either live in anxiety or receive His peace. And since we cannot know what comes we are forced either to live in anxiety or to receive His peace. Both require faith.
God is. Therefore if we follow him we must also live in what is. To do otherwise only brings doubt. And if that is the case he is right to refer to us as "ye of little faith".
Leave what was in the hands of he who is. Likewise leave what will be in the hands of he who is. Strive only to do in faith. In this you will find immeasurable peace. In this you will come to understand that his burden upon you is light indeed.
Who can decipher the deeds he has done according to what is true? And who has known the mind of God that he is sure of what will happen next? If we are that tiny then why do we not believe?
God alone gives true understanding of these things. Philosophers and poets have given their whole life to understand these things and to write them. But those who are in Christ Jesus find themselves living them effortlessly.
Let the world work with their hands to provide what will be. Their folly is evident. Let the world build their filthy temple on the foundation of what was. They build on nothing. But let God's people understand. We do not build at all. We trust in the Sovereign Lord. His name is Christ Jesus.
Highest possible - 2014-04-29 12:46
The hope we have in Christ Jesus is the highest of all possible hopes. It is eternal life in a perfect Kingdom. What more could possibly be asked?
The world condemns the Lord's people because they dare to dream of something the world cannot attain; God with us. Yet to anyone who is willing to believe, this hope is standing ready to give.
We believe and are saved. We believe and he teaches us. We believe and become. And all who believe say Amen.
Let those who doubt consider their plight. Let the foolish become wise. The door is standing wide open. Let all who will humble themselves come to the Lord and receive this magnificent hope.
But let all who will continue in doubt continue then in doubt. The Lord's Way is written in the blood of His Holy Son. God is righteous and true. His judgments are without fault. And his kingdom moves forward without the slightest impact of the lies of men. And the harvest of God will eternally separate!
The War of Necessities - 2014-04-30 08:43
I am nothing and I am no one. I have seen clearly the wickedness that is within me. But for the hope of Christ Jesus I remain worthless, anonymous and wicked forever.
I have seen the way of men. By means of simple necessity, they are forced into slavery. They must eat. They must provide shelter. And they must belong. So they become victims of the greed of others.
On top of that, as if a poisonous frosting on a cake, men have devised ways to take advantage of the necessity of others. They have conceived in their heart, "I will rise above at the expense of my brother".
So they give profitable work, and social belonging, to those of lesser ability. In the interest of profit for all, so they say, they quickly demand too much. A man is placed where he does not belong by the engine of greed and vanity.
Fear races across this world that we may perform the things for which we have no resource. Hundreds of thousands become taskmasters, while millions become slaves. And the slaves say, "If I do not perform a task as is required, or do as they say, I will lose my place".
With smiles, rewards and contrived encouragement, ("I care for you!") the taskmasters provoke to produce. And production is made, at the expense of your freedom.
So it has been from the beginning. So it is now. Fear breeds defensiveness. Every man builds a fortress. And regardless the face they wear, every man is enemy to another. The friend against a friend. A father against his son. A son against his father. A mother against her daughter. A daughter against her mother. Siblings tear at one another. And all are in the process of dying a needless death.
The battle is encouraged by necessity. As long as there is want there will be war. There is war between the nations. There is war between the countries. There is war within the cities, towns and villages of this world. There is war within groups of men. And there is war within the families.
All of this to ask a simple question. Is there remedy? The answer is yes.
The world will continue in this futile, ceaseless and horrific war. But each man can cease a war like life.
You do not have to fend for yourself. You do not have to wake every morning preparing for battle. You do not need to endure sleepless and fitful sleep. You do not have to put on hatred as if clothing. And you wear selfishness for no reason.
The answer is not a method. A method would require too much of you to perform. You would have to study a method. You would have to learn by practicing a method. None of which the the world gives you time or resources to do.
The answer is the kingdom of God in Jesus, the Holy One of God. You may ask, "Is it really that simple?" The answer again is yes.
He is not religion, organized or individual. He is the Son of the Living God. He is willing and able to release you from this war of necessities. He is willing and able to release you from your own guilt and greed.
The world has told you that God is in heaven. The world has told you that God cannot and does not help man in his basic necessities. Or that if he does, it is in the small measure. Yet you cry out when you have need.
I testify to you as one who has been released from the war. I do not speak to you as one who does not know. He provides everything I need. And he never fails.
He is called Emmanuel. Perhaps you have heard the name. The name means "God with us". The world has lied so that you will not understand. For if you understand their grip is torn away. So they continue to entice you with lies and promise of worthless reward.
Those who are in the kingdom of God find themselves progressively released from the war of necessities. Though the burdens of this world are placed upon them they find they have strength where before they did not.
He provides for those who are hungry for provision. He provides for those who have come to understand they have no strength.
Are you hungry? Do you recognize your weakness? Are you courageous enough to call out in faith? Has the world reduced your pride so that you can look up for help?
His promise is to provide. It is impossible for God to lie. He will keep his promise. And those to search for him in truth will find him true.
But do not think he will provide for you what the world calls necessity. He will appear to provide what you need. He will not appear to provide what you want. Greed and vanity have no place in the kingdom of God. He has give you life. He will also provide everything you need.
Those who ask for the trinkets of this world will be turned away. The world may give you such things. But it will also demand an accounting.
Have you truly had enough of this war? Are you ready to receive the things that God is willing to give? Then simply humble yourself and ask. Place yourself at his mercy. When the time is right he will give you strength.
By continuance in faith you will receive the freedom he promises.
All day long men and women are entering into the kingdom of freedom in Christ. They are finding the freedom to live. All the while you suffer needlessly.
It has been so since the days of John the Baptist. And it will continue until the Lord returns. But cowards and the faithless will never enter the kingdom of God; they will never taste the freedom of Christ.
Has the world reduced your pride? Have you reached a place of hopelessness so that all is this is left is for you to call out to God? Are you strong enough, courageous enough, of faith enough. to call out to the Holy One of Israel? If so, you will find him pleasantly willing.

Courageous Vagabonds - 2014-05-01 09:55
I took my early morning coffee to the back porch which overlooks the woods. As I stood, I began to be aware of the chirping of Robins, Blue Jays and a variety of other birds. My memory came alive; I remembered their absence in winter.
Such Birds travel south when it begins to get cold in the north. There they eat and sleep in comfort. But has winter dissipates, certain birds return to the north.
Immediately I understood. God showed me a parable of the gospel.
God has made creation as he has made it. The birds are given wisdom according to His will, that they may not gather together in comfort and security.
Certain numbers of birds are compelled to be courageous vagabonds. They hate the gathering together in warm security and plentiful food. They prefer an arduous flight north. They are not like their other brothers of a feather.
As it is among these birds, so it is among men. God gives wisdom to some and calls them to become courageous spiritual vagabonds. They cannot stand the mass of men. They are compelled, by the very nature God has given them, to seek a different place.
They themselves are men. But there is a distinct difference. Such "called out" men are not afraid to risk death for what is better. They do not count themselves as different. They simply are.
Such things are on display for all men to see. All creation resounds with the story of Christ Jesus. Look with understanding and you will see.
A Fillament of God - 2014-05-01 10:28
Stopping for gasoline in my small country town, I came upon a startling revelation. As I went in to pay for the gas, I passed a man coming out. When he saw me he quickly turned his head away from me and down.
I paid for the fuel and walked back to the little truck. For some reason the man had not left. Instead he was on his way back into the store. And so we passed again.
This time the man's aversion was radical. There was no question he preferred any place but there. Frankly, I was surprised he did not turn around and get back in his car.
Neither of us spoke a word, the first time or the second. His pain was so obvious I did not desire to add to it by saying hello.
I wear a dark blue ball cap. On the cap are the words "Think Eternity", and a small cross. The power of those words and the symbol that accompanies them caused the man his obvious anguish.
As I drove away I pondered the man's life. He has friends. He has relatives. He has those who love him. He has a history and a reputation. In short he has what he considers "a life".
But if he cannot bear two small words and a symbol on the hat of a man, what will he do when he is face to face with a blazing glory of God?
That man is the most pronounced reaction I have ever seen. Most people avoid my eyes. But I have never seen anyone react that violently on the inside. It gives me cause to ponder who I am becoming, by the strength of God within me.
I am like the filament of a lightbulb. What chases the darkness away is not the glass. It is the blazing fire within.
The filament does not perceive what happens beyond its light. And it does not command or control those who live in darkness. The filament simply blazes light. And it does not consider its value.
The value is perceived by he who placed the light. And it is used by those who live in darkness.
We are the light of the world, by Christ who lives within. We testify with words and actions. But the testimony within us speaks soul to soul.
Every tree is shaken. Excuses evaporate like a drop of water on a hot burner. And the hearts of men are starkly revealed.
May God receive the bounty that is rightfully his. All glory to the Father through the Son, by his people and the might of His Holy Spirit upon us. Amen.
Ignorance Produces Perversity - 2014-05-02 10:17
Why is the Bible not understood? Why do the majority of Americans not know the Scriptures? When by this time America ought to be the teacher of the Bible to the entire world, they have become ignorant of any words within it. Why is this so?
It is simply so because those who have read the Bible have closed their mouth. Those who have understood the mysteries of the Bible have kept silent. They raise children and do not teach them. They had ignored the plight of the strangers around them. And by their silence, they have not taught themselves. For where they were silent, sin was not!
But many will say, "I have read the Bible I have spoken of the Bible but they will not listen". If this is true then let me provide an opportunity for consideration. Do you understand the following text?
24 After Jesus and his disciples arrived in Capernaum, the collectors of the two-drachma temple tax came to Peter and asked, “Doesn’t your teacher pay the temple tax?”
25 “Yes, he does,” he replied.
When Peter came into the house, Jesus was the first to speak. “What do you think, Simon?” he asked. “From whom do the kings of the earth collect duty and taxes—from their own children or from others?”
26 “From others,” Peter answered.
“Then the children are exempt,” Jesus said to him. 27 “But so that we may not cause offense, go to the lake and throw out your line. Take the first fish you catch; open its mouth and you will find a four-drachma coin. Take it and give it to them for my tax and yours.” (Matthew 17)
Can you explain what Jesus intended when he said, "Then the sons are exempt." This passage should not have mystery attached. It should be easily understood, not only by the teachers in the church, but by the body of believers also.
There are several layers of understanding in this tiny passage. And this is just one passage of thousands that are misunderstood, or not considered at all. Why is this? Why has America thrown the gospel away? Is it because Christians have not understood the intricate beauty within the Scriptures?
I propose that they have not understood the intricate beauties of the Scriptures because they have fully understood the intricate beauty of enticements from the world.
In the 50's and 60's, the church watched in horror as their children cast off the Scriptures. But as they watched, their children did not perish or suffer. The children gained ground and prospered! So the parents began to cast off the Scriptures themselves. En masse they yearned after the things of this world. And the beautiful intricacies of the Holy Word were left behind.
Make excuses for them, many scholars will. "You have no empathy for those people. America had suffered under two world wars and the Korean Conflict. Death had taken their sons and they no longer had the stomach to watch them go. They were tired and wanted relief. The advent of innovation not only promised, but delivered. The enticement was not their fault".
Things are as they are. I do not write this post to debate my empathy for those who have sinned. I have written this post to ask the question, "Why has America not understood the Bible and the beautiful intricacies there in?"
But take note of the attack such questions raise. An earnest seeking for the answer is never the response. It is always the way of a perverse people to accuse he who asks. It is always the way of a perverse people to find excuse. America is perverse and unholy! I only asked why.
If, Then - 2014-05-02 11:30
* If we have received the love of God in Christ Jesus.
* If there is the slightest hope that we will live eternally in the presence of God.
* If there is a transformation within us after we have accepted the promise of the gospel.
* If there is a fear of the holiness of God within us.
* If the love of God provokes us to give thanks.
* If we have enjoyed the fellowship of the body of Christ.
* If we have read any portion of the Bible and understand it fluently.
Then is it proper to let fear keep us from sharing with those who do not have these things?
VICTORY! - 2014-05-03 11:00
In the midst of prayer I saw that my mind had wandered to the things of this earth, even while I spoke the appropriate words of God. I thought, "These are not the marks of an earnest prayer." After apology and return to earnest prayer, I asked the Lord to teach me what is victory.
He showed me that victory is not only at the end of the race. She hovers over the runners from start to finish. With meticulous and unblinking eye, she watches with wisdom as men run.
-Ingenious attire escapes her view. She watches not but actions.
-Baubles and trinkets, which divert a man's attention, are not even visible to victory.
-She pays not the slightest attention to those who refuse to run.
-Words spoken are not heard; the doing is observed. For victory hears only the words of the Holy One.
-Then she kisses her children with a welcoming kiss at the end of their faithful and earnest run.
-Make no mistake, her kiss is a certifying seal.
-------------
He also showed me a man kneeling. He was before a brilliant and never ending light. The light shone directly at him and I looked to see how the light shredded behind him as if brilliant silver threads.
"Those are not threads of light." I heard my understanding say. Then I peered more closely at what trailed behind the man. They were tethers brilliantly shining in the light of God.
As the man stood to raise his arms in praise I watched as the tethers on his back break loose. But now that I knew what they were, I studied his form more closely. Almost imperceptibly, his right heel was tethered by a rather large thread.
God sees all these things. Victory takes note of them. He who is victorious wins the prize. Those who compete in error finish in error.
Then I heard, "Fight with vicious intent! Those who coddle the sinful nature remain tethered to it. What do you think? Does victory take note of them?"
We Love? - 2014-05-07 11:09
The Love of God radiates out.
He does not need anything.
All creation, in heaven and earth, receives. We who have nothing to offer back. Even what we do is expected service.
Shall we return love? It is already diluted, for He gave freely from His generous heart. But we return only that which is left over.
God sustains all. Even the grave's foundation rests on a place He built and knows. Hell is sustained by His Holy consuming Flame. All life belongs to Him. What belongs to man?
Sin? Does rebellion belong to man? Isn't rebellion simply a physical admition that love does not belong to us? What belongs to man?
Does God need our praise to be God? Does He die if we are not thankful? But we are born needy. The first breath is of air He sustains. The last breath releases to go to another place He sustains. Is God ever lessened by man?
But our thankfulness makes Him more. His Holy Kingdom expands as another returns in faith. Love from man may be of duress, but something is made better by He who is everything.
The Race - 2014-05-11 11:26
The human race races. Listen to the cheers of the crowd. "Be first, conquer, achieve, amass, gather and enjoy!"
To what do they compare victory? Do they look at what they did not have when they were born? Do they look at what they now have and consider it victory?
This is not the measure of victory that God perceives.
God is first. He has set his Son as first. His son has conquered. His son has achieved all that can be achieved. He has amassed all righteousness; for that is what he loves. Even now he gathers men from among the seed of men. And he is eternally anointed with the oil of joy from the living God.
How does the race of men compare? They will have what is not theirs to keep. They will have what is not theirs. But he keeps because he desires his Father's Holy will.
Will you continue in the race of men? Or will you relinquish your rights to gain what cannot be lost?
There is a race that requires no strength. It does not hope for the things of this world. The world will hold what is of the Spirit in great contempt. But all things of flesh rot and fade away.
All the while men clamor to gain, heaven moves forward in true joy. Beyond the grasp of man, beyond the vision of eyes, beyond the hearing of ears, the righteous worship God. And it will not be taken away from them, for by the strength of Jesus the Christ they have overcome.
Who will cease the frenzied race? Who will grasp with their soul what can never be taken away? He is willing to give. Who is willing to receive?
Righteous World? - 2014-05-11 12:03
I read the news and I see promising headlines. Certain things are discontinued because the world has considered them obscene.
I used to be fooled into thinking the world had second guessed its war against God. But age has taught me something valuable.
The world makes not one small step toward God. It simply hauls back the things that are not acceptable among those with money.
They make no moves to become righteous. Everything they do is simply a re-posturing in their greedy desires.
Those who see these things and feel a twinge of hope, are willingly deceived. The righteousness of God continues uninterrupted. And of the wickedness of the world continues uninterrupted.
Do not be fooled. The righteousness of God is holy; the very thing the world hates with all its strength. Holy provides no profit for the things of men.
