Forever - 2014-03-05 14:20

Look forward with great anticipation.

Forever in the presence of Christ Jesus!

Forever bathed  completely in His loving kindness!

A place forever void of contrary thoughts or actions; a place where acceptance is never questioned.

Full forever, to overflowing, with the will and the knowledge to obey.

Forever surrounded by peace both outside and in.

Forever discovering the richly variegated wisdom of God.

Forever inhabiting  a peaceful land; a place void of danger and filled with joy.

Forever praying without ceasing; never caught up in sin, doubt or sleep.

Forever filled; never again hungry, naked, thirsty, lonely or poor in any way.

Look forward with great anticipation!

You are the evil you are seeking - 2014-03-05 19:48

Men say that there is good within every man.   All we need is determination and training to bring it out.  The Bible speaks of no such thing.  In fact the Bible says that our greatest good deeds are as filthy rags ( indicating a menstral rag) .  But what the Bible says has no appeal to the pride of man.  Nor does the Holy Lord of life respect the pride of men.

Since they believe that man is basically a good creature, men find themselves looking forward to the manifestation of some evil creature who will do damage to the human race.

My brothers and sisters of flesh, I tell you he is already here.  We belong to him and will do his bidding unless we turn ourselves over to the Lord Jesus Christ.  If you have not received the gift of God in His Holy Son, you will be the ones to usher in your own destruction.

There will be no arrival of evil.  It is already here among you.  You study prophecy to no avail.  You make movies about evil spiritual creatures but to no avail.  You hunt with all your might to explain the evil that you yourself embody, but to no avail.

Until you humble yourself and request God's salvation, you belong to God's enemy.

There are likely another million ways to say this.  And, by His grace, I will continue to try.  If you do not believe what I have written or cannot understand my words I will write this again in some other way some other day.

The work of man's hands - 2014-03-06 08:47

Were the Lord to act among us and raise the dead they would not believe.  They would say, "It is nothing but an anomaly.  We have seen it before.  Life is unpredictable and we admit we do not understand all things.  But with our little paddles we can restart a dead heart.  With the work of our own hands we can raise the dead."  By the testimony of their own mouth they condemn the works of their hands.

Listen to the uproar.  "Together we are strong we have no need of God.  United we stand!"  they stand united in a singular revolt against the Most High God.

But there is a day when no one will work.  No secret place left.  No materials to fashion.  No more inventing.  They will stand before the Lord naked and helpless.

They know this for they witnesse death all day long.  But instead of preparing to meet the Holy One they continue the works of their hands, and they will not relent.  The Lord Himself has sent this strong delusion; that they may be thoroughly immersed in their own lies.

They have made a god of their own flesh.  They consider that their way will never fail.  Instead of admitting their ignorance in humility and seeking the help of God, they see it as provocation  to move farther.  Build, invent, contrive and prosper, all of this with arrogant spite for the Holy One.

Everyday, one by one, they are ushered involuntarily into eternity.  Yet those who remain in this place of testing continue their work without regard.   As one cow is slaughtered in the field, so the others keep on eating.

Do not join them!  Use what tools you must according to the requirements placed upon you.  But do not worship the work of man's hands.  This abomination before God will dissipate in the wind of Fire.  Be wise and consider the outcome of their work.

". . . but Moab will be trampled in their land

as straw is trampled down in the manure.
11 They will stretch out their hands in it,
as swimmers stretch out their hands to swim.
God will bring down their pride
despite the cleverness of their hands.
12 He will bring down your high fortified walls
    and lay them low;
he will bring them down to the ground,
to the very dust." (Isaiah 25)

More - 2014-03-06 20:13

When you accept the Lord Jesus you get a whole lot more than hope.  Though  his promise of heaven is on the horizon, there are promises you can have now.

He will cause you to desire him.  You will desire a clean life.  And with that desire comes his ever present help to guide you.  There is cleanliness among men, then there is cleanliness before the Most High God.

He will teach you his Father's will.  And you will take note of a change in your prayers.  As your life is cleaned up greater things are shown.  You will experience what has been said, "Who will ascend the hill of the Lord but he who has clean hands and a pure heart.

The greatest reward in this world is to have confidence before the Sovereign God; to know that your prayers are heard.

You will find yourself asking for prayer less and less.  And it will come to you that you are the one who has the ear of the Lord.

We tell you about the beauties of the Lord Jesus.  But if you accept him and work according to His will, you will find yourself giving the same testimony to others without fear.

If you have considered yourself a Christian for a long time and have never experienced these things, you will find that what I have said is true if you will spend more time approaching your Lord.  To be near him is to become like Him; to love him.  The more you are near him and the further away from the world you drift, the more of his beauty you will see.

Thoughts - 2014-03-07 09:05

Do you think you would do "that" freely if you stood before the throne of the Most High God?  Do you believe that thought would be acceptable as you stood there and let Him inspect your very being?  Has the awe of God's Holiness struck you like a lightning bolt?  Do you conceive the nature of pure purity?

If you want to grow in Christ then submit everything that you are and have to Him.  Tell Him that you want Him to weed out the things in your life that are not His.  Then stand as strongly as you can as you see things ripped away.  He will take you at your word and begin.

We cannot grow in Christ if we love the things of this world more than service to Him.  Along that vein comes another aspect of great importance.  The Apostle Paul pointed it out in 2nd Corinthians 10:5.  ". . . and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ."

Among the things we own let us not forget our mind.  Every man is full of thoughts that are inappropriate before the Holy Lord's throne.  As surely as the Lord is willing to clean up our things, He is also willing to clean up our thoughts.

Listen to what you are thinking.  Not only when you are in prayer but throughout every hour of every day.  Compare it to the gospel of Christ Jesus.  If what you are thinking is not aligned with what you have read, take it to Him.  Let Him inspect it.  Let Him help you get your thoughts under control.

What a man believes determines what he does.  As we allow ourselves to think, so we are.

The man of God can expect to become of "sound mind".  This is a promise from the Lord.  It is also a sign of fruit from the Holy Spirit.

The purity of the Lord Jesus is far above the purity of man.  Yet He is willing, even anxious, to witness His ways appear within His people.

I have written this for encouragement sake.  We do not need to be like a fish who is left on the sand of the beach.  We no longer need to flounder about without hope.  We are pulled from the sea of men so that we can walk as true men.

Apply these things and you will prove His willingness to love you.

Thank you Holy Father! - 2014-03-07 10:19

Sovereign Father, we give you praise for your astounding wisdom.

You invented this place in all its richness.  It was not, then by your command, it is!  From nothing it has appeared!  And by your Holy wisdom your Son has become king of all.

You cause us to enter this place that we may gather.  But you have set a wall between here and eternity.  Where by, no thing we gather from here can be taken through that wall.

But even more importantly, you are willing to give us the things that can be useful to both this place and your Holy eternity .

May we learn from your display of Awesome wisdom.  May, by your Son Jesus, we learn to gather the things that last.

All this you have done that you may gather to yourself companions for eternity.  Who can take it all in?  We simply thank you, by virtue of your Holy Son's faithfulness.

May understanding bless our thanks.

Amen.

Don't be cruel - 2014-03-07 13:58

If you love your loved ones, secure your soul.  At your passing from this world they will shed tears of loss.  Do not compound their trouble by causing doubt.  A cruel action indeed!

Give everything you have to secure your place in Christ Jesus.  Then make it known to them so they will not doubt.  That way, when you leave this place. You will leave behind you peace and joy.

Faith Ponders - 2014-03-08 06:22

Faith sits and ponders.  It looks at the plight of the wicked.  Listen to their moaning.  Watch the quivering agony.

They struggle against righteousness.  For in their life they have abandoned their place.  They sought after all that was pleasing to them.  But they forsook the demands of holiness.  Faith sits and ponders.

All day long faith holds out its hand to the wicked.  "Come this way."  Faith says.  "Avoid the end of your ways, for you will not find peace."  Wickedness has no ears to hear.  And their stone hearts can not conceive the meaning of the words.

Faith sits and ponders the plight of the faithless.

The Rich Man and Lazarus

19 “There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day. 20 At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores 21 and longing to eat what fell from the rich man’s table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores.

22 “The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried. 23 In Hades, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. 24 So he called to him, ‘Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.’

25 “But Abraham replied, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. 26 And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been set in place, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.’

27 “He answered, ‘Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my family, 28 for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.’

29 “Abraham replied, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.’

30 “‘No, father Abraham,’ he said, ‘but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’

31 “He said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.’” (Luke 16)

They see me coming - 2014-03-08 06:58

They see me coming and turn their face.  A disease has overtaken me they say.  "There is no cure among men for what ails him.  He is in love with what is not from us.  He is a traitor to his own kind for he testifies against us.  Even the emblem he wears is a testimony against our unity."  And so they turn their face away from me.

But I will not turn my face away from you.  My God has given even his Holy Son unto death for our sake.  Even while your empty hatred seaths toward Him, he gives command to his people to testify for your salvation.

It is right that you should turn your face away from me.  While wickedness thrives happily in your heart you have no obligation to embrace me.  We belong to two different camps.  I am your enemy but you are not mine.

And you were right to turn your face away from me while the testimony runs from my mouth like a river.  For the testimony He gives his people condemns all live in your camp.

What is the testimony?  "Become a traitor to the camp in which you now live, for with them you will surely die.  There is One who is endlessly stronger and He will win.  For now the door is wide open.   Come see and taste that the Lord is good.  Come into our camp and live with us. There is no death among us, only life.

Stand firm, not reviling - 2014-03-08 10:01

You have heard it said, "The next time the devil reminds you of your sin, remind him of his fate."  But the Lord did not call us slander celestial beings without knowledge.

Instead, we ought to remember the Lord's words through his servants.  "Resist the devil, standing firm in your faith, and he will flee from you."

By standing firm in our faith we are set free from accusation.  There is no need to even to address temptations.

Do not be drunk on the power of Christ within you.  Rather, be filled with the Holy Spirit.

Remember that even the Ark Angel Michael did not dare to bring an accusation against Satan in a dispute over the body of Moses.  But simply left room for God's judgment when he said, "May the Lord rebuke you."

What to do - 2014-03-08 18:08

I have been told many times to,  "pay attention to what is."  One type of servant is a gatherer.  He has much territory for that is his work.  Another is a guide.  This one is tethered to his people.  He only needs the territory they hold.  Still another provides maintenance.  He tends to specific places.  The only territory he needs is what fills his hands.

I am learning to stay where I am.  If the Lord wants me somewhere else he will pick me up by my hair and put me there.  In all things he is God.

The craftsman - 2014-03-08 20:33

The Craftsman was given lumber.  "Build a room in this place.  Make it solid to stand against the wind.  There will be but one door; the door will be three feet wide and seven feet tall.  There will be no windows.

You will stay in this room and produce for me.  I will provide for your needs.  You are only to open the door when a portion of your project is complete.  I will send a messenger to take the project from you.

When your time is complete I will take you to my house and there you will finish your days.  I will pay you what is right.  You have my promise."

The Craftsman looked down at the ground.  He thought deeply about what he was told to do.  The master stood patiently and waited for his answer.

After some time the Craftsman looked up with a smile.  " I will do as you say sir."  The craftsman's voice was soft and full of love.  "You are an honorable man.  You are such a man as can be trusted with my life."

And so the Craftsman built with integrity, all was done according to his master's request.  When it was finished his master came in to inspect.  "All is well.  Here is what I want you to make."

He handed the Craftsman a large book of over 2000 pages.  After putting it down gently on a table, the Craftsman turn and bowed low.  Without a word the master put his hand on the craftsman's shoulder.  After a gentle and lengthy touch the master turned and left.

Day after day, month after month.  And year after year.  The Craftsman completed each task.  As was prescribed, a messenger would come and knock on the door.  With a happy smile the Craftsman would hand over each project.

Decades passed.  And when the Craftsman eyes would no longer help him, the master came to fulfill his promise.

With all the love and gentleness the master could muster he took his friend to his house.  They arrived at the master's house together.  A beautiful place has been arranged and a great feast was in progress. There were several thousand guests in attendance.

The Craftsman was happy to see that his master had so many beautiful friends.  "Master I am happy to be here with you to share the joy of your life.  Where shall I stay sir, while you enjoy your beautiful splendor?  I am by no means worthy to attend such a royal feast."

The master turned to his craftsman with surprise in his eyes.  Loving tears whelmed up in his eyes as he said, "My dear honorable friend, this feast is not for me.  You, my loved one, are the royal master of this house.  These people have come because of your work.  They have loved you from a distance.  As I have promised you so it now is.  You will never again lack for anything."

Peace filled water - 2014-03-09 09:40

It is good to sit quietly by the water's edge.

Listen to the onslaught of peaceful sounds.

In it are traceable things to ponder.

For the beautiful voice of Jesus resounds.

His voice is like that of many rivers;

Speaking pictures, concepts and truth.

Not a moment is silent as we sit here and ponder.

His beauty is Fire diverse.

Jeremiah 29 - 2014-03-09 10:54

10 This is what the Lord says: “When seventy years are completed for Babylon, I will come to you and fulfill my good promise to bring you back to this place. 11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity.[b] I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile.

Deliciously bitter - 2014-03-09 11:10

Take away from before you that plate of delicious food.  Though it sustains for a moment it is rotten and useless.  You have been taught to teach your tongue.  But your tongue has been taught in error.

Place before you the things you consider bitter.  Force your tongue to learn.  In time you will consider what was before delicious as if it is rotten and putrid.

The taste of delicacies in this world of sin is an abomination at the Lord's table.  From childhood we are taught, from without and within, to enjoy this banquet of corruption and rebellion.  Pleasure is sweet and the aroma captivates the soul.  But this food is rancid it will make you horribly sick;  even unto death.

What is bitter to the flesh is a delicacy of God.  The one who trains himself to enjoy what is good is wise.  There is a banquet table being prepared from which the pleasure seekers will revolt.  Only those who love Him will attend.  And their joy will never end.

I Set Sail - 2014-03-10 05:00

I stood on the shore.  A boat with sail was there.  Anxiety was upon me and I looked for escape.

Into the boat I lept.  With all my strength and quickness I raised the sail.  With knowledge of direction I headed out.

But I did not go toward Tarshish.  I sailed for three miles out.  Let the sound of crashing waves dim the onslaught.  Let their sound not reach me.  Let no bug or bird see me.  I have had my fill.

I pulled the sail down.  Let the great current pull me.  My knees slammed to the bottom of the boat.  And my soul set sail for God.

_______________
Back on shore I write these things.  Refreshed and strong for battle.  But now perceiving the war is not mine.  The Holy One of Israel is my shield.

In him we live and move and have our being.  What then is assailed at us?   It is he who protects.  It is he whom they hate.  Who am I to stop my ears?

From atop the sea

His wisdom found me.

And all my anxiety

Has proved not but folly.

What is to be lost? - 2014-03-10 10:08

He stood there with the rarest of coins in his hand at last.  Years of research and bartering have finally produced fruit.  Destitute and homeless he now held in his hand 7 million dollars worth of gold.

For the next five years he wandered from city to city searching for some way to claw himself back to prosperity and the warmth of his own house.  He stayed in city missions.  He slept under countless bridges.  He ate what he could find.  And he gathered clothing from whatever source was free.  Still he held his wealth with a vague hope that he could not articulate.

Though his manner was usually joyful, suspicion was the rule among men.  The focused greed he had used to obtain his wealth was the very filter through which he saw all men.  Free to do as he chose he chose to be a prisoner of his wealth.

Day six of the year six, a generous man spotted him sleeping in a bus stop.  He approached the sleeping man with an open heart.  With a tender hand he reached out to the sleeping man's shoulder.  But the touch did not wake the man to conversation.

Years of suspicion found their place.  A knife glinted in the light.  Fast and accurate steel plunged into the generous man's heart.  The sleeping man was no longer asleep.  But now he would be called by a different name.

For thirty years more the man slept in a bed that was not his own.  No longer free and his riches taken, he was now a prisoner of his own folly.  Steel and chaos surrounded him.

No compassion carried him there.  No justice appeared to relieve him.  No friends or loved ones to console him. Thoughts of fatherless children and a widow haunted him everyday.  And dreams of prosperity became nightmares.

____________

What do we hold that will keep us from the glorious promise of God?  Is it truly worth you're very life?

You have scratched hard against the rocks of this world to produce the things you love.  All the while your soul has been homeless, destitute and nameless.  In your present condition you will bear an entirely different name when you appear before Him.

Go!  Speak to Him and ask.  Justice and mercy are in His hand.  Why would you hold that which is not from God?  All the while everything you could possibly desire is offered to you freely.

"Unless the Lord builds a house the builder builds in vain."

Last Facebook post - 2014-03-10 21:28

This will be my last post on Facebook.  And I would not have left one if there wasn't good news.

I have kept that blog for over 3 years and averaged 2 or 3 visitors a day.  As of now there have been 62 visits today.  They visited from Puerto Rico, the Philippines, Brazil and the United States.

Today is also rather monumental for another reason.  This morning I posted post number 1400.

All these things the Lord has given me.  And all these things belong to him.  I am but the penmen.  The Lord Jesus is the author.

If anybody wants a window cleaned or a floor scrubbed you know where to find me.  Oh, I'm not too shabby at pushing a grocery cart around either.  But that is the extent of my skills without him.

Thank you for your loving support.

The things of this world aren't precious - 2014-03-10 22:06

The more rich, powerful, good looking, socially refined or affluent a person is, the more corrupted he is likely to be.  If this is not so, then why did Jesus warns us that it is harder for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of heaven then for a camel to go through the eye of a needle?  Those who have a plentiful bounty of the goods of this world are far less likely to have the good from God within them.

Close your ears and eyes when the world demands your presence in its class room.  Throughout the length of every session you will be taught that the sum of the worlds wealth is more precious then anything else.  But they can't tell you why the sum of humanity is a corrupt and futile mass.

The gospel of Christ Jesus is laid out in perfection.  You can trust the Lord when he tells you anything.  But if the world tells you something you ought  to be highly suspicious.

Great students - 2014-03-10 22:36

If a man is not fully in love with righteousness it does no good to give him a "to do list".  Sooner or later he will revert to impulsive behavior.

But this idea is at the root of the gospel.  If we will spend time with the Lord Jesus, he will change our earthly desires to Heavenly ones.  Instead of a heart of stone, over time, he builds within us a heart of flesh.

Serving the Ten Commandments as if law does nothing to the heart.  Learning to love as God loves produces a righteous heart.  But how should you learn if you do not spend time with him?  He is the great teacher.  Are you willing to be a great student?

Greed swamps their boat - 2014-03-11 10:29

To all men in America who love their freedom to do as they please:

You do not understand your desire.  You cannot understand why anyone would want to come and take away your freedom.  You think you are righteous in your anger.  And many of you are willing to fight to the death to keep what you have.

But you do not consider the proof that stands against you.  The world abhors freedom!  The more free a man is the greater the world hates him.  For they cannot find a way to monetize a free man.

Consider the Lord Jesus.  Being the Holy Son of God He was, and forever will be, completely free of this world's demands.  In drawing thousands to Himself, His freedom ushered in their murderous actions.  If this is how the world reacts to perfect freedom, how do you expect to escape their wrath?

But your excitement to retain your freedom is without knowledge.  Your zeal is not to blame if you do not understand.  However wisdom has been removed from you; because you have not understood the gospel of Christ Jesus.  And you have neglected to consider how the world has treated His people.

I will not tell you to lay down your arms.  It is folly to try and restrain a madman.  But your freedom will be crushed.  You will lose what is precious to you.  And they will force you and your children to obey their unlawful laws.

As surely as the Sun rises on this dark world, they will exercise their strength.  They brandish weapons of death and they will use them for their gain.

You waste your time defending your freedom.  Your time would be far better spent gaining the freedom of Christ.  For when they come to take what they think belongs to them, they will then overlook your true freedom.

Few will understand what has been written here.  And many who understand will spit on these words.  Nevertheless, it is given to God's enemy to remove freedom from this land.  Those who stand against this will lose all.
