Main Entry Door Unlock Indication System

(O) May be inoperative provided door is both visually and manually verified to be fully closed and locked before each departure.




Prior to each departure, close and lock door and visually confirm the handle is in the locked position and that each (6) lock is seated.

Rear Baggage Pannier/External Baggage Compartment (EBC) Door Unlock Indications

(O) May be inoperative OFF provided door(s) is/are visually and manually verified fully closed and locked before each departure.




  1. Prior to each departure,

  • Open Left Hand (LH) Pannier Door,

  • Operate latching handle checking for extension and retraction of all three (3) latching pins, and

  • Close and latch door.

  1. Repeat above bulleted steps for Right Hand (RH) Pannier Door (if installed).

(M) (O) May be inoperative ON provided:

  1. System is deactivated, and

  2. Door(s) is visually and manually verified fully closed and locked before each departure.

  1. Gain access to Connectors ‘UL’ and UK’ through Access Panel F162 behind Baggage Pannier.

  2. Remove wires ‘K’ and ‘V’ from both connectors, cap, and stow.

  3. Check that indication is OFF.

  1. Prior to each departure, perform the following:

  • Open LH Pannier Door,

  • Operate latching handle checking for extension and retraction of all three (3) latching pins, and

  • Close and latch door, and

  1. Repeat above bulleted steps for RH Pannier Door (if installed).

  1. System is deactivated, and

  2. Door is visually and manually verified fully closed and locked before each departure.

  1. Gain access to Connector ‘UZ’ through Access Panel F162 behind Baggage Pannier.

  2. Remove wires ‘K’ and ‘V’ from connector, cap, and stow.

  3. Check that indication is OFF.

  1. Prior to each departure, perform the following:

  • Open LH Pannier Door,

  • Operate all latches checking for extension and retraction of latching pins, and

  • Close and latch door.
