The main business of the organization is to undertake overall implementation of programmes in the basin through mobilization of resources and assets in pursuit of improving livelihoods and developments in the region. Some of the activities that Lake Basin Development Authority has forecast on are:
Improving the region’s economic and restructure by promoting value addition on natural resources.
Create and provide market of products and services within and beyond the region.
Undertake initiatives to attract investments with a view to reduce the income disparity in the region.
