Figure 1 – Vegetarianism is becoming a trend


According to a research by Sarah Marsh (2016), there is a 350% increase of vegetarian in UK from 2006 until today and it is approximately 542,000 people has opted for a vegetable diet. From the answers of respondents, some perceptions can be found as ‘proud to be a vegetarian’, ‘become vegan due to social media’ and ‘No meat, no life’. Hence, there are different preferences which can reflect their reaction towards vegan fashion and their eating habits. For female respondents, they seem to be more receptive to vegetarianism as they have less dependent on the satisfaction of eating meat. Whereas male respondents will be more averse to vegetarianism as they love meats.
