Forms of financial support and monetization associated with production of television series usually depends on the production company and the purpose of developing the series. In relation to this fact, most series are usually developed by different production companies. These entities receive funding from sales of previous releases made, well-wishers, and both the government and non-governmental organizations. Additionally, other production companies receive funding from advertising. This fact means that before release of a television series, the marketing department of a given production company has to release trailers that are to be watched by the targeted audience. The medium used for advertising also varies. In most cases, production companies prefer internet marketing because it helps the producers to earn income based on the views recorded (Mokhtar 2015). This fact means that the internet is the most preferred method in the digital age.
