Origins of the Production
The team involved in the production of vlogs is usually small. In most cases, it is made up of a single individual who records his/her videos using a smartphone or camera, especially if the content is to be posted for individual purposes. However, in instances where they are used for commercial purposes, the production team is usually made up of a cameraperson, the speaker, and a person in charge of editing and posting. Rouse (2018, ‘Vlog’, para.3) points out that the editors are usually required to have special software, such as iMovie, Windows Movie Maker, and QuickTime, among others, to edit the videos before posting. However, in instances where the vlogs are posted for fun or other personal reasons, the vlogger can edit the videos on their own without seeking any form of professional help.
