Television Series
Television series are production/media forms that include a group of programs, which have been adapted to be broadcasted on televisions with a common series title. These shows are usually presented in form of episodes and are related to one another in a number of aspects, such as characterization and setting (Barroso, Giarratana, Reis, & Sorenson 2016, p. 565). Television series usually appear once or twice a week, depending on the schedule of the hosting channel. The number of episodes is not certain because the storyline and the duration for each event is often different. Regarding the production genre, Dibeltulo and Barrett (2018, p. 2) highlight that they come in a variety, depending on the objectives of the producers, the setting, and the plot. The production categories include romance, adventure, fantasy, thriller, action, science fiction, and drama. Other production genres include western, comedy, musicals, mystery, and horror.
