Activities performed:Led in planning the work and organizing the environmental team to: (i) manage and coordinate the update, implementation and monitoring of an Initial Environmental Examination or Environmental Impact Assessment (IEE/EIA) as required by the Financing Framework Agreement (FFA) and loan agreement. (ii) set-up internal monitoring system on the project’s environmental issues and requirements. (iii) coordinate with relevant parties, including civil society organizations, on environment requirements of the Project. (iv) closely monitor project sites against any unexpected environmental impacts. (v) monitor contractors' compliance to EMP. (vi) advise the Client (Ministry of Transportation of the Republic of Tajikistan) and the Senior Resident Engineer on environment problems and/or requirements, and recommend mitigating measures. (vii) prepare report on EMP implementation and contractors’ compliance. (viii) take part in project performance monitoring and evaluation activities, develop key indicators, and perform surveys. (ix) assess and prepare capacity building program on environmental issues
