Name of assignment or project: The Consultants’ Services of the Project Coordination and Implementation Unit (PCIU) for the Ankara - Istanbul High - Speed Train Project (AIHSTP)

Main project features: The project entailed the construction of about 490 km. of double track electrified High Speed (HS) railway line for passenger traffic between Gebze (east of Istanbul) and Ankara, thus providing an adequate railway connection between the most important cities in Turkey. Project components consisted of track construction, tunneling, civil works, terminal and station construction, viaduct and bridge construction, etc.

Position held: International Consultant for environmental, safety and infrastructure-civil
