APPENDIX F:Document Imaging/WORKFLOW Functional Requirements
The objectives of the document imaging/workflow components are to provide the following: access to image stores based on user permissions and user roles, the ability to integrate with external and third party systems or Import data from the same, methods to mass-import documents from existing digital stores, and methods to mass-import documents from paper sources via batch scanning. In addition the document imaging/workflow component must fully integrate with proposed financial and student EIS solution if your organization offers it.

The objectives of the database platform with DMBS integration components is to provide support for the overall data and information management needs of the college, a network-centric computing model that is open and based on industry standards, and a common data repository used to provide secure self-service access to information. In addition, this solution must provide a storage foundation for student and financial EIS solutions, an intuitive and manageable DBMS with general database functionality, and appropriate security to ensure authorized users only have rights to role-related data.
