4972 GB WW2 MKIII PARACHUTIST HELMET WITH LATE WAR WEBBING CHIN- STRAP. Liner dated 1943 By. "BMB" Size 6 7/8 inches. Liner fully intact and serviceable. Chinstrap and chamois insert intact. One inch diameter type camouflage net over shell. A striking investment. Grade II- $1250

4973 GERM WW1 M16 STEEL HELMET. Greyish-green finish to Helmet shows heavy wear with only small areas remaining. Steel liner band. 2 x brown leather pads remaining, showing wear & age. One partially torn along liner band. (Small section of corrosion to liner band at this point). Stamped "BW 377" inside dome. Ink stampings to front section of liner band, "64, FCB, 18". RHS steel chinstrap lug remaining, No chin- strap. Helmet shell with no dents. Grade II- $650*

4974 GERMANY WW2 M42 STEEL HELMET. Late War, no decal type. Comes complete with M31 liner in poor condition. (One tongue missing/cut out and other tongues have sustained tear damage, however has period drawstring thread through lower tongue holes to make the liner space smaller). The Helmet is a "C.K.L.G.G" with a 58-59cm liner so it could have been issued to someone with a smaller head, hence the modificat- ion of the drawstring. Outer paint is a very dark green, (Almost black) and is 90% present. Inside is a colour similar to apple green with heavy age patina. Split pins look tight and show an even amount of wear as the rest of the helmet. Scarce larger size. Grade II-. $875

4975 GERM WW2 M35 ARMY DOUBLE DECAL STEEL HELMET. Original apple- green painted finish showing some wear. Wehrmacht decal rates about 80%, majority of Eagle's head & top of wings missing. Tri-coloured decal has been over painted per reg., but pratially visible where paint has worn off. Scrape mark through part of decal. Helmet shell stamped "Q64" inside left flare, "20794" inside rear flare. Faint oval ink stamp to inside of dome. Nice tan size "56" leather liner with drawstring, original M35 leather chinstrap with aluminium buckle. Maker marked and dated 1939. Grade II- $1500*

4976 GERM WW2 BATTLEFIELD RELIC. Double decal M35 helmet. Remnants of apple green paint and of tri-colour decal only. No liner. Rust to exterior and interior. Ground dug. Ex Lithuania find. A very solid helmet, great example for a relic display. Grade II for a Relic. $250

4977 GERM WW1 M16 Cammo Helmet. finger width black lines with approx 40% remaining colours of brown, green and ochre. Somewhat faded but still a nice looking camo original leather m16 liner with all 3 inserts present but missing th underside pads. Unable to read makers mark. Large size 66. Very nice looking item. Scarce. grade II- $1150

4979 GERMANY WWI M16 Steel Camouflage Helmet. Finger width black lines with approx 40% rmaining colours of brown, green and ochre. Somewhat faded out still a nice looking camo paint. Original leather M16 liner with all 3 inserts present but pads are missing. Unable to read makers marks. Large size 66 shell. Very nice looking item. Scarce. $1150

4980 GERM WW2 ARMY M42 HELMET. Rough slate grey finish, stamped "CKL 34, 2727" Inside rear flare. Tan leather liner and chinstrap, both showing O/A wear. Some one looking to see if a decal is present, has cleaned back a small area under the left venthole, otherwise a nice combat example. Grade II-. $875

4981 GERM WW2 NICE EXAMPLE OF 2nd PATTERN HEER TROPICAL HELMET (as worn in Africa and Italy and Caucasus). Stiffened felt with pressed metal shield Badges. Leather rim trim and chin strap in very good condition. Made by "R & C" 1942. Size 57cms. Has sustained a 35mm cut to dome. Grade II- $650

4982 GERM WW2 LATE WW2 M42 STEEL HELMET. RAW EDGE, SIZE 66. Market "CKL 66". M31 liner present, but heavily oil stained dried & becoming brittle. Numerous tongues have portions missing. Split pins tight & show no signs of being played with. Dark satin green (almost black) Heer finish. 90% with a number of small storage scuff marks. Size 58 liner in a hard to find Size 66 shell. A sought after late War Veteran of the last months of the 3rd Reich. Grade II- $750

4983 GERM WW2 M42 Army Helmet with bailing wire around the circumference. Original green painted finish with O/A wear Faint production markings inside rear flare. Dark brown leather liner shows age and wear. Drawstring still present No chinstrap, good original example. Grade II- $1050*

4984 GERM WW2 Luftwaffe M35 Double Decal steel helmet. Luftwaffe Blue grey painted finish, light o/a wear with a few scraps and minor dent to the top. Luftwaffe 2nd Patt decal rates approx 85%. Shell stamped "EF64" insdie left flare. "3773" inside rear flare. Supple tan leather liner with ink stampings "143/Stab" and to the underside of the liner "FL.GR.Wert" (a fighter squadron based just outside Berlin) mising the drawstring to liner. Leather chin strap with aluminium buckle. Grade II- $1450

4985 GERM WW2 M40 SINGLE DECAL LUFTWAFFE STEEL HELMET. Marked Q64 (Quist) only traces of original grey/green paint to outer dome. Light rust and age patina have accounted for the majority of the inner surface of the helmet. Viewed in sunlight the helmet takes on a brown "Hue". Second Pattern Luftwaffe Eagel is only about 15% present and appears almost subdued. Helmet was stored in a farm shed for years until rescued in the mid 1980's. Has traces of light coloured house paint to outer dome. M31 is a shocker having been eaten by silverfish and nontheless is still partially present. A good solid helmet for restoration or to diaplay a camo cover. No chinstrap. Grade III+ $695

4986 GERM WW2 LUFTWAFFE M34 PATTERN LIGHTWEIGHT FIRE HELMET. Smooth black painted Shell with a 1cm wide white painted stripe encircling the Helmet. National Tri-colour Shield & Luftwaffe Insignia, both removed, outlines of both still visiable. Missing Liner, chinstrap side with buckle present Other side missing. Grade II- $250

4987 GERM WW2 FIRE POLICE SQUARE DIP STEEL HELMET. Still retains the majority of it's black painted finish. Aluminium comb. Bordered style Police decal to LHS, and Swastika decal to RHS. Both with sections of the borders chipped off. Main parts of decals still present. Maker's stamp and dated "3/5/34" inside rear helmet flare. Brown leather liner in GC, some wear to forehead area. Black leather dome pad present. Original black leather chinstrap. Reproduction, but true to type leather neck protector added. Can be easily removed. Grade II- $750

4988 GERM WW2 LUFTSCHUTZ THREE PIECE GLADIATOR STYLE HELMET. Dark blue paint with silver Luftschutz decal to front. Decal rates at approx 75% with sections of the right wing missing. Original tan six tongue liner with black leather chinstrap. Missing drawstring and one tongue from leather liner. Luftschutz transfer with Size 57, inside rear flare. Grade II- $385

4989 GERM WW2 3 PIECE GLADIATOR STYLE STEEL HELMET. Black painted finish with darkened gilt "Zundapp" logo to front. Complete tan leather Luftschutz style liner with drawstring Black chinstrap with partial tears to both sides near each of liner. Remains of Luftschutz transfer inside rear flare with size 55. Grade II-. $425

4990 GERM/NORWAY M40 Steel helmet Q62. Shell painted over with Norwegian Olive Brown paint. Post war Norwegian liner and chinstrap similar to German patt. Approx liner size 55cm. N126 Norwegian production number. Norweigan decals obscured Original German shell. Grade II- $450

4991 GERM WW2 M38 PARATROOP HELMET. "POSSIBLE/REPUTED TO HAVE BEEN A GRAVE MARKER ON CRETE". Has a small weld/repair mark inside. Has been fitted with a reproduction liner and chin- strap. Original relic shell. Good as a gap filler or for display of a real camouflage cover or even serious re- enactor. Liner about size 56cm. Green/brown mottled camouflage to exterior and brown painted internally. Shell size unreadable through corrosion. Grade III+. $1500

4992 ITA WW1 MODEL 1915 STEEL HELMET. ADRIANE STEEL with 'Horizon Blue' Paint. 1st Pattern liner & chinstrap. Overall 'crack- ing' to paint otherwise a very nice looking period Helmet. Grade II- $550

4993 ITALY WW2 M33 STEEL HELMET. Brown painted steel shell (scuffed). Has had two holes to front for badge, but filled Original leather liner with some damage to rear section with two flaps missing. Has leather chinstrap. Grade III+. $300

4994 ITALY WW2 NAVAL MARINE M33 STEEL HELMET. Green painted helmet with Royal Italian Naval insignia to front in raised yellow (anchor with crown). Brown leather liner and green leather chinstrap. As used by the 'San Marco' Division of Royal Marines. Scarce M33 Variant. Grade II- $650

4997 JAPAN WW2 MOD.30 ARMY STEEL HELMET. Original O/D painted shell with Army Star badge to front. Only very light surface pitting. Original tan leather liner (age soiling but no damage). Has remains of cloth chinstrap, but cut short at both sides close to liner. Grade II-. $1000

4998 JAPAN WW2 MOD.30 STEEL HELMET. O/D Painted shell with O/A wear and very light surface corrosion. Has replaced Thai Issue Liner. No chinstrap. C/W string netting. No Badge to front. Ideal for WW2 Japanese Display. Grade II-. $500

4999 JAPAN WW2 STEEL HELMET. Model Civil Defence, has liner but no chin ties, one tie lug loose but with helmet o/a Grade II- $350

5000 JAPAN WW2 CIVIL DEFENCE STEEL HEMET AND PROTECTIVE MASK, nice clean o/d painted steel helmet with white canvas liner with cloth chinstrap. C/w protective mask consisting of a dark blue cotton cloth face veil with a long neck flap/cape, glass eye lenses (square cut glass) pressent but cloth frames holding them in are damaged. As used for Air Raid Defence. O/a Grade II-. $500

5001 POLAND POST WW2 MOD 50 CIVIL DEFENCE STEEL HELMET. Grey painted Soviet style Steel Helmet with Comb. Three pad basic liner and leather chinstrap. Unusual looking Helmet. Grade II. $350

5002 RUSSR WW2 ORIGINAL WW2 SOVIET M-36 STEEL HELMET. Used in many Hollywood Movies over the years, has the original factory dark OD green paint job. The outside shows scuff marks & some areas of light surface rust (paint 65-70% complete), while the inside displays much rusting around where the liner attaches, (rest generally OK w/places of surface rust). Comb is present on the top & the brown leather six-tongued liner still has the black tie string, (but liner is tearing loose from the helmet band & is dry & cracking). Chinstrap attachment buckles are rusted. Cannot detect any stampings or marks. A scarce Helmet in it's own right, but has had an interesting story. Grade III+ $650

5003 SOUTH AFRICA WW2 Steel helmet with crude original 1942 liner Has chinstrap. Surface rust to underside of shell. Outer paint with about 70% original finish but has storage ring of rubber/tar to crown from weight of other helmets on top. 3 drilled holes to rear to afix neck flap(not present). Grade II- $120

5004 SPAIN WW2 MOD 42 (2) STEEL HELMET. GERMAN STYLE. Has original pale green finish (scuffed). Has provision for front badge (no badge). Original Spanish leather and web liner with web chinstrap. Would benefit from a clean. Grade II- $125

5005 SWEDEN M26 STEEL HELMET. Retains all finish, with decal on front. Has 3 pad leather liner and chinstrap. Grade II. $85

5006 SWISS WW2 ARMY STEEL HELMET. Heavy black painted finish. Good 3 pad leather liner and chinstrap. O/a service wear. A good example. $150

5007 TURKEY WW1 Mod 1918 Helmet. 1st Type. Cut down version of the standard German M16. Stamped "ET 64" inside left flare. Still retains much of the original matt black painted finish. Shallow dent to front of helmet. No liner. A very rare helmet. See "The History of the Steel Helmet in the Fist World War" Volume Two. By Haselgrove and Radovic. Pages 654-661. Grade II- $850

5008 US WW1 M-1917 STEEL HELMET. This particular example is reputedly to have belonged to Sgt Joseph Carrol Strickland a soldier of the 144th Infantry Regiment, 36th Division (France 1918), although not marked as such. An interesting part of this example is that it has been repainted on the outside in 'Forrest Green' for use in the 'Aggressor Force' a mock enemy formation used in training & field exercises. The interior retains the original OD finish & the remains of the original liner, this in very poor condition and missing the chinstrap. O/a an unusual example. Grade III+ $185

5009 US WW1 MOD. 1917 STEEL HELMET. Has all original O/D Saw dust finish. Interior dirty. Has oil cloth liner but very soiled. Missing chinstrap. Apart from the dirty interior this is a nice example. Looks like it came straight out of the Trenches. Grade II- $300

5010 US WW1 M-17 "BRODIE" STEEL HELMET WITH 27TH DIVISIONAL INSIGNIA. Shell only, no liner. Original O/D finish with painted divisional insignia to front. Has small ding and fracture to very top. Otherwise Grade II- $285

5011 US WW1 M-1917 BRODIE HELMET. Really good example with original saw dust mix finish, Divisional Insignia for the 78th Infantry Division can just be made out on one side. Original liner and leather chinstrap. Grade II. $500

5012 US WW2 M1 Steel helmet. WW2 shell with a post war liner , no chin straps. Original O/D finish. $200

5013 USA VIETNAM MI STEEL HELMET WITH PERIOD LINER & CHINSTRAP. Comes with Vietnam Period reversible Oak Leaf style Camouflage Cover. (Heavily stained). Grade II- $120

5014 USA USM1 STEEL HELMET (POST WW2) WITH FRENCH M57 LINER. Helmet cover of US Woodland Pattern Camouflage. Chinstrap present. Grade II- $85

5015 FRA WW2 STEEL M26 HELMET - CASQUE ADRIANE. With fair condit- ion leather liner. Painted in a olive green colour with some small period dents from service use. Chinstrap present but well used. Standard Republique Francais Badge to front. Grade II- $275

5016 GB VICTORIAN ORs LANCE CAP (CZAPKA) REAR OF THE 17TH (DUKE OF CAMBRIDGES OWN) LANCERS. 1856 other ranks pattern black leather cap & peak, white cloth top & white patent leather crown, yellow & blue stripe cotton braid cap band, ornate brass corner ornaments. Worsted woollen boss with small Regimental pattern button. Lance cap badge QVC with Battle Honours to South Africa 1879. Lion head bosses for chin chains (these converted by having the hooks removed and chin chains braised onto one side). Gilt plume holder with white horse hair plume. At the rear a hook & eye for chin chains & cap lines. Brass chin chain leather backed this felt backed. Usuale head lining to inside. O/a leather cracking o/w o/a a fine example. Grade II- $3250

5017 GERM WW2 MUNICIPAL POLICE SHAKO. An excellent & complete example. Grey felt covered body with black bakelite front & rear peaks. Black bakelite top & original black leather chinstrap, for enlisted men. W/M alloy cockade & Police Helmet plate. Tan leather liner with light service wear. Large maker's mark to inside of tip, "Hans Romer, Neu-ulm (Donau)". These Shakos are now very hard to find. Grade II. $1500

5018 AUST C/WW2 SLOUCH HAT, PRESS STUD SIDE, has chinstrap and puggaree but no sweatband. Size approx. 55-57cm o/a Grade II- $175

5019 AUST WW2 SLOUCH HAT. FUR FELT. Press stud side. (Carr Aust). Has chinstrap (worn) but missing sweatband. Has five fold pugaree (no colour patch). No Rising Sun. O/a moth damage and hole to brim. Becoming hard to get. Still OK for display. Grade III+ $250

5020 AUST WW2 ARMY SLOUCH HAT. Fur felt. Press stud side. A very rough example. Missing chinstrap and sweatband. Has a few small holes to crown and two larger ones to top. A few small white paint stains. Has rising sun badge held in place by a 1942 Dutch East Indies coin. Has puggaree with a very tatty, mothed 1944 signals colour patch. Becomming hard to find. This example still good for display. Grade III- $225

5021 AUST WW2 ARMY SLOUCH HAT FUR FELT. Press stud side. Missing chinstrap and sweatband removed. Light moth nips to under- side of brim and to top (does not detract). Has Rising Sun Hat Badge (polished). 1943/45? Dated Puggance (Size 6 5/8). Grade II-. $300

5022 AUST WW2 ARMY SLOUCH HAT. Fur felt. Press stud side By. "Carr" Australia. Six fold Puggaree. Oxy Rising Sun Hat Badge. Has liner (worn) "D" Arrow "D" marked, but no date visable. Also has chinstrap. Some light moth grazing to underside of brim, heavier mothing to under the puggaree, but hidden, also large 3cm cut to rear under puggaree and also hidded. A nicely shaped hat. Grade II- $485

5023 AUST WW2 ARMY SLOUCH HAT. Fur felt. Press stud side By. "Carr" Aust. Re-inforced edge to brim. Six fold pugaree. (No colour patch). Has Rising Sun Hat Badge. Has sweatband (No visiable date) and chinstrap. Light moth grazing only. These are drying up very quickly. Invest in the future. Grade II- $500

5024 AUSTRALIA KOREAN WAR SLOUCH HAT 1952 DATED. By John Bardsley & Son Pty Ltd. Sixe 6 5/8. Very nice K/C Australian Artill- ery Hat Badge and very worn puggaree which gives the hat a very much "been there - done that" look. Minor moth nips and Service soiling. Grade II- $185*

Leather back chin chains across peak, good leather liner & chinstrap. Usual o/a cracking & gilt dull, an unusual helmet. Grade II- $375

5036 FRANCE C/WW2 ARMY OFFICER'S KEPI. Maroon velvet body with scarlet red top. Gilt bullion braid to top and three Rank Bands for Captain. Thin bullion chin strap. Black leather peak. Grade II- $125*

5037 GERM WW2 NSFK (NATIONAL SOZIALISTICKERS FLIEGER KORPS) EM'S SCHIRMUTZE. A blue-grey wool stiffened Kefi style visor cap Yellow piping to top perimeter edge of cap crown, to top edge of the turn-up & front vertical edge. Silver pebbled front button. 3rd pattern stamped aluminium National Emblem affixed to upper front. Black leather chinstrap with black side buttons. 2 X black metal air vents to either side of cap body. Fawn leather sweatband with minor wear. Grey Cotton interior lining with ink maker's stamp "Robert Lubstein. Berlin NW21". Cap size "59". A very rare cap. Apart from a couple of moth nips to the top piping. Grade II+. $1850

5038 AUST WW2 RAN SOLAR HELMET. White blancoed canvas covered cork. Good clean example. Has brown leather chinstrap. Melbourne maker. Crack to brim at front, but only shows from underside. Grade II- $175

5039 ITALY WW2 PITH HELMET. Tan coloured cloth covered cork helmet with tri-colour rosette and bras Unit badge for 61st Infantry. Leather sweat band & chinstrap. O/a wear & visor at front & back broken and soft but still retains shape. c/w Army issue alum. framed sand goggles with brown tinted lenses & elastic strap. As used on pith helmets, goggles Grade II- Helmet Grade III. With some light moth to reverse peak. $600

5040 ITALY WW2 STANDARD ISSUE TROPICAL/COLONIAL PITH HELMET. Good solid example with no soft spots. Has brass Infantry cap badge on rosette on front. (Small field repair to canvas on visor). Good oil cloth liner but missing chinstrap. O/w a very good example. Grade II. $350

5041 ITALY WW2 TROPICAL SOLAR HELMET. Indian made pith helmet with Italian helmet badge for the 1st Anti-Aircraft Regt. This has a small religious medallion attached. Has leather chinstrap, sweatband. Shows some use and soiling to top. O/w no damage and a nice example. Indian and South African pith helmets were frequently pressed into service by Axis troops. Grade II- $350

5042 US WW2 USML TROPICAL FIBRE SOLAR HELMET. Khaki cotton covered with Oxy brass USML screw back hat badge. No chin- strap but has basic liner. Grade II- $160
