2011 Sperry Top-Sider Annapolis NOOD Regatta
J/109 - Additional Class Provisions and Requirements
For J/109’s participating in the 2011 Sperry Top-Sider Annapolis NOOD Regatta, the Notice of Race posted on the event’s website, http://www.sailingworld.com/nood-regattas/annapolis , is amended as follows:
In addition to competing in the Sperry Top-Sider 2011 Annapolis NOOD J/109 Class this regatta will be the 2011 J/109 Mid Atlantic Championship and the first of two qualifying events for the J/109 Class Association East Coast Regatta Series Trophy. The other qualifying event is Block Island Race Week.
This Regatta will be subject to the J/109 Class Rules posted on
http://www.j109.org/docs/Official%20Class%20Rules%2006.pdf , except that the last sentence of Rule 5.3 shall be replaced with the following: Jibs and spinnakers may be changed at any time during the Regatta at the discretion of the captain, provided that a second jib may not be pre-fed to the furler foil and provided further that neither a jib nor a spinnaker shall be changed within three boat lengths of a rounding mark, including any offset.
Crew limit will be as specified in J/109 Class Rule 6.1 – driver, plus six crew members, plus an additional person whose weight does not exceed 132 lbs., for a total of eight people on the boat. Rule 6.2 shall not apply. No weigh in is required.
