NCAA Bylaw 12.3.1.2 Benefits from a Prospective Agent

NCAA Bylaw 16.11.2 Extra Benefit refers to any special arrangement by an institutional employee or booster to provide the student-

athlete or his or her relatives or friends with a benefit not expressly authorized by NCAA legislation.

NCAA Bylaw 16.11.2.3 Bylaw 16.11.2.3 prohibits and institutional employee or representative of athletics interest from providing a student-athlete

with extra benefits or services, including, but not limited to: a loan of money; a guarantee of bond; an automobile or the use of

an automobile; transportation; or signing or cosigning a note with an outside agency to arrange a loan.

PRectangle 44ART III: DOCUMENTATION

  • Student-athlete whom institution has identified as high profile or high risk are to complete Part I of this form at the beginning of each academic year and update the Compliance Office as automobiles are enhanced or new vehicles are used.

  • Compliance Office need only complete Part II of one form per year.

  • Compliance Office may choose to retain other automobile-related documentation (e.g., car registration, financing records).

  • Compliance Office should maintain record of education provided to all constituencies regarding preferential treatment/extra benefits for use or purchase of an automobile.

NOTE: These documents should be retained for the duration of the NCAA statute of limitations (Bylaw 32.6.3) or in accordance with institutional policy, whichever is longer.

NAAC | This form is intended to assist institutions in adhering to the NAAC Reasonable Standard.
However, use of this form is not required to comply with the standard
