BACHELOR OF COMPUTER APPLICATIONS

The Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) programme is a full time self-financed three year integrated degree programme affiliated to the Goa University. The objective of the BCA programme is to produce employable IT workforce that will have sound knowledge of IT and business fundamentals that can be applied to develop and customize solutions for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). The duration of the programme is of three academic years which is divided into Six Semesters with two semesters per academic year. Every semester is of approximate five months duration inclusive of breaks and vacations. Upon successful completion of the programme, every candidate is conferred upon the degree of Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA). The instructional scheme for the BCA is based on a system of integrated units called courses. The evaluation scheme is based on both an In-semester continuous assessment element and an End-semester element each carrying equal weightage of 50%.



FORMAT AND SYLLABUS OF ENTRANCE TEST

The entrance test shall evaluate the general aptitude, logical reasoning, analytical abilities and basic arithmetical skills of the candidate. The examination questions will be of multiple choice questions.

The question paper will contain three sections with 20 questions per section. The first section will cover 20 questions on general aptitude. The second section will cover 20 questions on logical reasoning. The third section will cover 20 questions on basic arithmetic concepts.

The students are to choose only the correct answer and circle it on the Question Paper cum Answer booklet.
