Clarinet & Saxophones – A note on reeds: students are required to have at least 5 “working” reeds with them at school. We will rotate usage to ensure good habits and long life of these reeds, but please do not purchase less than ten reeds at a time. First, reeds are cheaper when bought in bulk. Secondly, when one reed falls out of playing condition, the others will not be far behind; having more on hand at home prevents the panic of trying to replace them. Missing reeds is NOT an excuse and students will lose points from their participation grades. Please buy Rico or Vandoren reeds. Absolutely no plastic reeds, flavored reeds, or any other reed that seems “gimmicky” will be acceptable for class!
