ATLANTA (July 7, 2016) – Caring For Others, Inc., an international human services organization, welcomes supporters to celebrate its coming of age at The Art of Nature Gala’s “Sweet 16” on Saturday, October 15, 2016. A festive annual evening of philanthropy, the event will take place at the Georgia Aquarium and welcome the many guests who support Caring For Others’ mission to eradicate poverty locally and globally.
During the Gala, Caring For Others will present two Humanitarian of Hope Awards to recognize a business partner and a community partner. CEO of LivePerson Robert LoCascio and Director of Skanska USA’s Aviation Center of Excellence Dwight Pullen will be honored for their commitment to public service and contributions to the community, which exemplify compassion and humanitarianism. Additionally, Caring For Others will honor Former Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin with the Global Humanitarian Award. Caring For Others President & CEO Eslene Richmond-Shockley will deliver the evening’s keynote address, and Caring For Others is pleased to welcome WSB-TV’s Fred Blankenship and CBS46’s Gloria Neal as the evening’s emcees.
WHAT The 16th Annual Art of Nature Gala will include dinner, dancing, live music and the presentation of its Humanitarian of Hope Awards. The “sweet 16” themed party will be designed by William Fogler of WM Events and give guests an opportunity to bid on silent auction items before dancing the night away to live music provided by the Fantastic Voyage Band.
Atlanta-based Caring For Others was established in 2001 with a goal of helping those in need to live with dignity. Launching its 16th year this fall, the organization looks forward to serving more communities throughout the world. In 2015, Caring For Others assisted more than 78,315 individuals in the United States and 12,280 in seven other countries.
