GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. BACKGROUND. THIS IS A COORDINATED U.S. MARINE
CORPS FORCES COMMAND (MARFORCOM) AND U.S. FLEET FORCES COMMAND
(USFF) MESSAGE.
1.A. BOLD ALLIGATOR 2012 (BA12) PROVIDED A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY
FOR THE NAVY AND MARINE CORPS TO ASSESS OUR ABILITY TO PLAN AND
EXECUTE LARGE-SCALE AMPHIBIOUS OPERATIONS. REF A IDENTIFIED 72
RECOMMENDATIONS TO ADDRESS 10 CAPABILITIES GAPS ACROSS THE
DOCTRINE, ORGANIZATION, TRAINING, MATERIEL, LEADERSHIP, PERSONNEL,
AND FACILITIES (DOTMLPF) SPECTRUM. THESE RECOMMENDATIONS HAVE BEEN
CONSOLIDATED AND PRIORITIZED INTO THE 26 SPECIFIC ACTIONS
DISTRIBUTED VIA THIS MESSAGE.
1.B. FORMAL TASKING AND REQUESTS. FORMAL TASKING AND REQUESTS
CONCERNING SPECIFIC TASKS WILL BE WITHIN THE NAVY AND MARINE
CORPS AND ARE TO FACILITATE A COLLABORATIVE EFFORT WITH A DESIGNATED
LEAD AND IDENTIFIED ASSIST ORGANIZATIONS. THIS IS TO ENSURE

MARINE CORPS WARFIGHTER TALKS (N/MC WFT) AND OTHER VENUES.
1.D. EXPEDITIONARY WARFARE COLLABORATIVE TEAM QUANTICO WILL
SOLICIT UPDATES TO THE ASSIGNED TASKING ON A PERIODIC BASIS AND WILL
MAINTAIN STATUS OF EACH TASK VIA A DETAILED PLAN OF ACTIONS AND
