Description: Technology is constantly impacting the business model and work flow process of the global broadcasting industry. Senior Operating Executive responsible for the effective and efficient operation of the Marketing department: Oversee and continuously improve planning, coordination and execution throughout the extended Marketing supply chain. Oversee the development, review and execution of a technology and workflow roadmap focused on achieving the department’s objectives. Manage overall resource allocations and budgets; establish and apply appropriate policies, procedures and controls within Entertainment Marketing. Work with other Marketing Executives to develop and manage our ongoing training and development programs. Provide financial, analytical and operations planning and execution support to Marketing Executives.

Steven Bushong is senior vice president, Marketing Operations. In this role he leads the Marketing Operations and Production teams to create an environment where people, process and technology enable the Marketing team to create and deliver industry leading on-air and off-air campaigns. His teams continue to pioneer new workflows and technologies to drive increased effectiveness and efficiency. As a member of the Marketing leadership team, he also contributes to the strategic reflection and direction setting with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups.

Prior to this role, Mr. Bushong was vice president, Sourcing and Procurement, where he led the Media Networks and Supply Chain & Operations Strategy teams and led the creation of the discipline outside of North America. His teams delivered over $150 million in savings across all lines of business. He began his career with Disney in 1991 with Disneyland Resort Paris and worked in a wide variety of international roles until he relocated with his family to the U.S. in 2005.

Before joining The Walt Disney Company, Mr. Bushong held positions in the healthcare, automotive, consulting and education industries and ran a small graphic design/publishing business.

Mr. Bushong holds a BS in Industrial and Systems Engineering from The University of Michigan-Dearborn and a MBA from Babson College. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two grown children. Outside of ABC, he is a Board member for Special Olympics of Southern California, the Alliance Francaise of Los Angeles, an advisor to several marketing and industry groups, photographer, adv motorcycle rider and home chef.



Marc Lourdes——Director of CNN Digital Asia
Marc Lourdes is Director of CNN Digital Asia. Based in Hong Kong, Lourdes leads CNN Digital’s Asia team across editorial content and multiplatform programming for CNN’s global audience during the Asian time zone. Lourdes works closely with CNN’s digital teams in London, Abu Dhabi, New York and Atlanta and as the digital leader in Asia-Pacific, he is responsible for devising and implementing strategies to grow key audiences in the region.
Marc Lourdes was appointed in April 2016 – just weeks after CNN announced a major digital expansion. CNN is significantly increasing its global digital footprint by creating an additional 200 jobs plus enhancing its products and technologies, with a specific focus on mobile and video. Before joining CNN Lourdes worked at Yahoo! for five years, most recently as Editor in Chief of Yahoo Singapore. He has spent more than a decade as a journalist and editor, working at publications like The Star and New Straits Times in Malaysia and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch in Missouri, among others.




Jianqiang Wang, Chief Technology Officer of Shanghai Media Group
Wang is the Chief Technology Officer of Shanghai Media Group. He was born in 1958 and received his MBA degree from Fudan University.
Wang has successfully led and accomplished a great number of key projects, including SMG “News Sharing Platform”, “HD O.B. Van System”, “International Broadcasting Center System of Shanghai World Expo”, “Digital Post-production Base”, etc. He was a leader in the key scientific research project of the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, “Research on critical technology applications in radio and TV stations” internet-based digital production” and consequently accelerated the internet based digital production and the development of omnimedia in SMG. Due to his great accomplishments in technological progress, scientific innovation and team building, he was chosen as a “Sige Yipi” (a national talent development program) talent and joined the Talent Development plan of local Shanghai elites. The Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union or ABU granted him the “2011 Outstanding Contributions to the Engineering Industry” Award for his great contributions to the technological development of Radio and TV industry. ABU has also conferred the honor of “ABU technical committee Lifelong observer” on him.

Sammy Yang

TVBS Deputy General Manager
Sammy started his career as a journalist; he has worked in KPST for ten years, as producer and host of the show, "Face to Face". Sammy became the youngest television station director in the United States at the age of 26 in the United States.

Before the return of Hong Kong in 1997, Sammy came back to Taiwan, as TVBS director and director of international operations. He was also the Managing Director of Dongfeng TV Group in Hong Kong. Apart from satellite TV channels, he also established production bases and branches in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Beijing, Shanghai and Tokyo. He also successfully cultivated many famous stars, such as Takeshi Kaneshiro, Zhao Wei, Gigi Leung, Tao Ying, Patty Hou, F4 and many other well-known artists. Meanwhile, in 2001, in order to assist to hold Beijing Olympic Games, Sammy successfully planned and hosted the "Three Tenors' Concert in the World", as well as hundreds of large-scale pop music concerts.

Since 2005, Sammy served as the president of Hong Kong Yangguang TV. Since 2007, Sammy was invited to work in the Shanghai TV Foreign Language Channel and became the first financial host and commentator. His program, "Culture Matters", won the "Asia's Best Talk Show Award" at the Asian Television Festival in Singapore in 2012.

From June 2012 to present, Sammy served as Deputy General Manager of TVBS.
