Square Brackets [ ] are used to indicate text that is desired but may have to be removed before the final version can be published. A new revision will be required as soon the criteria in [ ] become available.
Yellow Highlight is used to indicate detail or text that needs to be confirmed or is dependent on completion of work by other SMPTE groups
Cyan Highlight is used to give text from documents that do not exist yet or to add clarifications to indicate work in progress. Please read the cyan bits – they are important.
Grey Highlight is used to indicate detail or text that has been considered but is not required for the first published version. It is retained to indicate areas that may be considered for future revisions of the published document.
