(10-15-2014) Ganassi extended McMurray's contract in August of 2013, at least for the 2014 season, looks like that extends into 2015. McDonald's was the primary sponsor for 13 races in 2014, no word if they return in 2015. Cessna / Textron returned in 2014 as the primary sponsor for 10 races. Roush Fenway Racing announced in May 2014 that it will again field its iconic #6 Sprint Cup entry in the 2015 NASCAR season, with Trevor Bayne driving the car with full multi-year primary partnership from AdvoCare (5-24-2014). Scott Miller who was the crew chief after Rodney Childers left in August, will resume his job as MWR's Executive Vice President of Competition (12-19-2013). MWR will run Waltrip and Jeff Burton in a few races during the 2014 season running the #66 instead of the #56. Waltrip will run the Daytona 500 and Burton's first race is at Las Vegas. After that nothing announced (12-2-2013). Michael Waltrip Racing announced it will downsize to a two-car full-time team in 2014, dropping the #56 which lost NAPA sponsorship after the Richmond scandal (10-14-2013). Scott Miller will stay as the full-time crew chief (10-14-2013). Vickers was diagnosed with blood clots in his leg again in Oct 2013 and missed the final five races of the season. Vickers, the team and the doctor expect him to return to run the full 2014 season in the #55 car (10-14-2013). Crew chief Rodney Childers was removed as crew chief after Bristol when he announced he would leave MWR at end of 2013 and go to the #4 SHR team (8-23-2013). Vickers named the full time driver for 2014-2015 with Aaron's as the sponsor for two full-seasons. MWR is signed with Toyota thru at least 2014.(7-13-2013).

The Army National Guard released a statement saying "Army National Guard is set to make changes to its sports sponsorship approach to recruitment marketing. These substantial changes include an end to its sponsorship of NASCAR driver #88-Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Graham Rahal in the Indy Racing League (IRL). After HMS said they are signed with the Army National Guard for 2015 (8-6-2014). Greg Ives will take over the crew chief starting in 2015 after Steve Letarte leaves to be a broadcaster at NBC starting in 2015 (7-30-2014). Nationwide Insurance will be the primary sponsor starting in 2015 for 12 races and 13 races in 2016 & 2016 (5-2-2014). The team hopes and expects National Guard to return in 2015. The National Guard work on 1-year deals. Pepsi/Mountain Dew/AMP returns is signed thru 2015, ran five races in 2014. No word if Kelley Blue Book will return in 2015.
