DIRECTIONS TO THE NEW SCHOOL OF MEDICINE BUILDING (SOM), 1648 PIERSON DR., ATLANTA GA 30322. 404 712-9925 or 404 778 7470. From the Airport By Taxi: Follow the signs to Ground Transportation. The cost is approximately $35.00-$40.00 one-way. The SOM is located across from the Children’s Hospital on Pierce Dr. off Clifton Road and beside the Woodruff Health Sciences Administration Building (WHSCAB)at the corner of Asbury Circle and Clifton Road. To return to the airport by taxi, contact Checker Cab at 404.351.1111. By Shuttle: Reservations Only. Atlanta Superior Shuttle provides shuttle service to and from the Atlanta Airport. The shuttle will drop you off and pick you up from the campus or major hotels. Reservations are required by calling 770.457.4794. At the airport, follow the signs to Ground Transportation. At the exit door you will see the taxis. Across from the taxis you will see the shuttle buses. Atlanta Superior Shuttle is in stall C9. The cost from the airport to campus is approximately $20 one-way/$35 round trip, with lower fares depending on your pick-up/drop-off location. By MARTA (Metro Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority): Follow the signs to MARTA near Ground Transportation. A fare card can be purchased at the terminal ($3.50). Take any train northbound to the Lindbergh MARTA station. Transfer to the #6-Emory bus to the Emory campus. Ask the bus driver to let you off at the corner of Asbury Circle and Clifton Road. WHSCAB is the big building on the corner. Walk up Clifton toward the hospital (away from Asbury Circle) approx ¼ block until you come to Pierce Dr. Turn down Pierce Dr. and the New School of Medicine building is the first building on your right. For more information, visit the MARTA website at www.itsmarta.com. By Car: From the north, take I-85 South to the Clairmont Road exit and turn left onto Clairmont Road. From the south (from the airport), take I-85 North to the Clairmont Road exit and turn right onto Clairmont Road. Continue on Clairmont for approximately 3-4 miles until it intersects with North Decatur Road. Turn right and stay on North Decatur until it intersects with Clifton Road. Turn right on Clifton Road. Follow the signs to the Visitor Parking Deck located at the Emory Clinic (approximately 2 blocks up on your right at the intersection of Lowergate Drive and Clifton Road). All day parking is $5.00. To reach the new School of Medicine Building, go back to Clifton Road after you park. Cross Clifton, turn right and continue walking until you reach Pierce Dr, located on the left just past the hospital.. Note: Please be very careful to park in authorized areas only. You will be towed if parked illegally. The “Emory Clinic Parking Deck” is #3250 on grid 8 I. Enlarging the map to 125-150% makes it much easier to read. 
The Clinical Skills Center is located on the 3rd floor. Please report to Room 308 when you arrive. The elevators are hidden in the back of the center wing of the building along with stairs which will go all the way to the 3rd floor. The most visible set of stairs only go to the 2nd floor so you’ll eventually need to find the elevator or stairs that go all the way up. Room 316 is down a hallway between Rooms 310 and 320. When you start seeing exam rooms you’ll know you are close. There is also an extensive free Emory shuttle system called “Cliff.” You can goggle “Emory Cliff shuttle” for all the locations and schedules. Parking on campus is always trying and time consuming. Taking the bus from a park and ride lot saves a lot of anxiety and wasted time and all the buses stop right in front of our building.
