Based on input from the Police Chief Ad Hoc Committee, members of the JIF Defense Panels will be on hand to discuss the following topics:
What are their rights and responsibilities when bringing Officers back from an injury – possible liability issues related to transitional duty?
With regard to Police Professional claims – is it easier to defend accredited Departments?
Police Chiefs’ want to avoid lawsuits. In order to resolve respective issues, what steps do Chiefs need to take if an employee has permanent restrictions following a work-related accident?
Two sessions are scheduled. Chiefs may attend either one. Attendance at this program is counted toward successful participation in the JIF Safety Incentive Program.
