Public Service ClubIcareIcare was established in the year 2002. It is the largest female association in Fudan University and is categorized to “the associations which aim to develop students’ interest”. Icare aims to help improve girls’ personal appearance, to elevate the life quality and to cultivate girls’ temperament. It provides girls in Fudan with and feasible guidance together with effective information which covers diverse aspects including personal aesthetic appreciation and life attainments, etc. In addition, it also aims at taste enhancement, trying to satisfy girls’ wishes to be unique. Members will mould their temperament not only theoretically but also practicallym. Icare adds more aesthetic taste in its activities in order to enhance the comprehensive qualities and self-cultivation of the members. The association will organize various kinds of activities, attachingn importance to both learning and practice for the purpose of enriching members’ leisure time. Besides, it helps members combine traditional Chinese family notion with new-age conception. Keeping state-of-the-art, we will spare no effort to make Icare an excellent one which will be the first housewifery association. Icare features girls. It is the paradise of all girls. We are trying our best to provide opportunities to learn knitting, cooking, etiquette, facial beauty, make-up, housekeeping, etc. you name it! We give lectures, face-to-face communication or let members have a try in person. Apart from classes and textbooks, life needs many other things: a beautiful make-up, an elegant figure,and exquisite dessert. Icare dedicated to making college girls a beautiful scene in this city! Expedition volunteer associationExpedition volunteer association was established in June, 2005, which is the largest public association of Fudan University contains more than 250 members. Four long-term projects are provided here. Three of them help the children of migrant workers with their study and personality development, and the remaining one serves the mental disabilities and the mentally retarded people. Every holiday, our association will organize teams to carry out social practice activities. In these years, we have been to lots of places including Sichuan, Yunnan, Gansu, Jiangxi, etc. We have conducted education and research activities and achieved good results. We are in line with the tenet of "dedication, love, help, and development", serving disadvantaged groups in the society. Our volunteers’ spirit is: practical and pure. Fudan Association of Social WorkFudan Association of Social Work (FASW) is established by the undergraduate students devoted to social work in 2002. We have held many activities according to our principle of “Helping people find ways to help themselves” and ”Organizing events to create images, to pursue benefit and to facilitate further work”. The mission of our association is: To integrate all kinds of resources, to develop the professional social service that mainly comprises social welfare services and public welfare activities, to accelerate the socialization process of social work, to strengthen the study of theories and the innovations in practice. Our organization is attempting to transform the pure student organization into an NPO. We hope that we can promote our ability of social service project exploiting and operating via practice in and out of school. As a result，we can explore more better methods to help us learn better in our majors. Having been established and developed for 8 years, FASW has formed the team spirit of “harmony and solidarity、honesty and credit、innovation in study and enjoying the work”. I-hopeBrief Introduction: I-hope is a prospering club founded in 2006. We hold faith in “Creativity & Charity” through the last four-year. Join us, give us an opportunity to do better, and give you an opportunity to participate in social practice. Here are what we have done and what we are still doing: 1. We organize volunteers to Si-chuan every summer vacation, where the children are in a shortage of qualified teachers and sufficient books. 2. We go to high schools in Shanghai every semester to have a communication with students, in order to resolve their confusions of the life in college. 3. We go to a hospital every month, in which there is a girl suffering from illness and enduring the pain of disease. We remembered all the smiles they’ve given to us, and now we’d like to give them to you. Heart-Together AssociationBrief Introduction Heart-Together Association was founded in September, 2006. In hope of assisting people who are challenged with hearing or speech impairments, our association has been engaged in social work for a long time. In addition, our club is devoted to promoting the popularity of sign language, because in our belief, sign language carries a significant meaning on the level of communication and humanity. We here appeal everybody to join us. To be the students who share the same campus with us, to be the students who share the passion and joy with us in the learning of sign language.
To assist university students who are interested in learning sign language, and also help people who are suffered from hearing and speech problems. In addition, we introduce the particularly culture of this special group. Goal: Our club is aim to gradually develop the atmosphere in college, besides, we plan to grow our own team of volunteers, training them to have a better understanding of sign language and the ability as a tool to communicate with the disability. After studying for one semester, members of our association are expected to master basic vocabularies; and after one year’s study, they are expected to be able to generally communicate with people who has hearing disabilities.
Interview with excellent and successful people who has hearing impairments: Hong Ze: The co-chairman of Deaf-and-Dumb Institute of Shanghai Jin Xing: the close friend of Song Xiaobo who has won the second price of “Come on, Good Boy” Competition and enjoyed good reputation and popularity in the campus. Others: Shi Yang and Song Xiaobo have shown their interest in cooperation with us.

Organize our members go to No.1 Deaf and Dumb School in Shanghai, besides Qiyin Elementary School. Communicate with pupils there, and organize a friends-making activity. “You write, we delivery” Goals:
1. Give a positive influence on students with hearing problems in the long term, help them to regain their health, and improve their situations as a whole. 2. Build a platform for communication between Deaf-and-Dumb School students and college students.
