PRAYER REQUESTSWe ask that you keep the following Brother Knights or Knight’s family members in your prayers. Deacon SK Rodolfo Gonzales, SK Art Estrada, SK Tom Owan, SK David Alston Sr. mother, and Brother Brandon Conley baby daughter. We ask you to pray for Michael Estrada son of SK Art and Rose Estrada who is very sick with pancreatic cancer in Atlanta Georgia. Spoke with Brother Art Thursday and he said his son is not doing well. So please keep him and Brother Art and the whole family in your prayers. INSTALLATION OF NEW OFFICERSO Installation of Officers for the coming year of 2012-2013 will be held on Tuesday July 10, 2012 at 7:00 P.M... Dinner and refreshments will be served. I hope you RSVP to Deputy Grand Knight Al Garza that you and your wife plan to attend. KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS SCHOLARSHIP The scholarship committee awarded three (3) $1,000 scholarships to three students whowill be attending college in the fall. We wish them the best of luck.ANNUAL DUESI had sent out letters to those Knights of Columbus members that have not paid their annual dues. I asked them to pay their dues by July 1, 2012. If they do not pay their dues by then. I will start the process to suspend them. SK Pete Rangel, Retention Committee chairperson. BLOOD DRIVE The Knights of Columbus quarterly blood drive is Sunday July 22, 2012 starting at 9:00 A.M. till 1 P.M. at Santa Cruz Catholic Church parking lot. We encourage every KC member and all the parishioners that can donate blood to please do so. In case you or any member of your family every need blood it will be available for you. Some insurance companies will pay to have it administer, but they do not pay for the blood .You will have to pay for the blood, by donating blood now, in most cases you will not have pay for the blood. So why not donate blood now. THE FEAST OF CORPUS CHRISTI Our 4th Degree Honor Guard led the Eucharistic Procession around the church grounds. It began at 2 P.M. in the church on Sunday June 10th. We thank the following 4th Degree members who took part in the procession in 100 degree weather. They are SK Art Estrada, SK Mike Dieja, SK Al Garza, SK Howard Cowan, and SK Pete Rangel. Thank you for a job well done. RETIRED KC AND KCLA LADIES MEMBERS The Retired Knights of Columbus and KCLA Ladies Breakfast Club met at Casa Alde in downtown Buda, on Wednesday June 20, 2012 at 8:30 A.M. We had 7 members and 5 wives who attended the breakfast, we had a great time. This month we will meet again at Casa Alde in downtown Buda on Wednesday July 18, 2012. Come and visit with friends if you can. We will get FREE COFFEE with our breakfast. Please pick up your own tab. The KCLA Ladies enjoyed visiting with the other KCLA Ladies in a group and the men in another group. The KCLA Ladies began joining us for breakfast, and are always welcome to join us. Any and all Knights and KCLA Ladies are invited. Jim will send out a reminder each month the week before and it will also be in the newsletter for those that do not have e-mail. Any questions call Jim Coy, at 796-2104. We would like to have more of our KCLA members or girl friends of our KC members attend. Come on Ladies. KC ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENTOur Annual Golf Tournament next year will be held on Saturday May 4, 2013 at 1:30 P.M. at Onion Creek Country Club. So please tell you friends. More details and registration forms will be available later. BINGOWe need to keep the Bingo going. We need every member to come and help us at the Bingo one Sunday afternoon a month. Time is from 12:30 P.M. to 5:30 P.M. This is our only fund raiser that we have to support our activities that we do, and to support our church and our Catholic school here at Santa Cruz. So why not come and join us only one Sunday a month. I know you ladies do not want to give out the year you were born, but in order for us to put you into the system we also need the year you were born, include your complete birthday date.
