On Monday, July 30, 2012 the Egg Harbor Township Police Department responded to a motor vehicle crash which occurred at approximately 4:28 pm on Fire Road south of Hingston Avenue, in the Bargaintown section of the township.

A 2004 Ford Econoline Van operated by Octavia Parker, 24 years of age of Egg Harbor City, was traveling south on Fire Road when a Chevy Pickup veered into her vehicle’s path from the northbound lanes and struck her vehicle head-on.

The Chevy Pickup operated by Jose Crisostomo, 19 years of age from Egg Harbor Township, was traveling north on Fire Road when he veered into the southbound lane striking Parker’s vehicle head-on. The impact caused Crisostomo’s vehicle to overturn.

Parker, her two occupants (Christine Timinello 52 years of age from Somers Point and Elizabeth Gorkoba 33 years of age from Somers Point) and Crisostomo were treated at the scene by AtlantiCare paramedics and the Egg Harbor Township Ambulance Squad. Parker and her two occupants were transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center Mainland Division for treatment of moderate injuries. Crisostomo was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center City Campus for moderate to serious injuries.

Traffic was detoured for approximately an hour while the crash was being investigated and cleared. The crash is being investigated by Officer Robert Moran.
