Mrs. Sheppard welcomed everyone to the meeting and thanked them for taking time out of their evenings to support our school.
Mrs. Sheppard shared school events and details about those occurring since the December 13, 2016 meeting as well as those scheduled during February.

Question as to when the bus leaves for the MLK Day of Service. Mrs. Sheppard will post
Time on the Triton website.
The SAT Bootcamp (January 14th) does not have many enrolled as before.
There was a question as to if juniors receive an SAT voucher. Mrs. Sheppard will look into this and post it on the Triton website.
Mrs. Sheppard reminded parents of the ACT test at Triton on February 11th and at Highland on April 8, 2017.
PTP Scholarships Application Process Last year applicants completed an application and submitted an essay. If the application was submitted without the essay, it was not considered. The PTP read each essay and rated
Applications and Essay will be due in April.
After the Designer Bag Bingo Fundraiser, scholarship amounts will be listed as incentive for students to apply.
Designer Bag Bingo Fundraiser Planning Marketing the Event Mrs. Sheppard will invite all faculty to attend.
Tickets will be sold and PTP sign-ups will take place at the following events:
8th grade parent night – February 2, 2017 (5:30 start)
Senior Trip Parent Meeting – February 8, 2017 (6:30 start)
Mr. Mustang – February 10, 2017 (6:30 start)
Indoor Color Guard & Percussion Competition – March 4th (shifts 2-8)
Mrs. Sheppard will create a Google Doc sign-up sheet for volunteers to sell tickets at the above events. She will email and post the link on the PTP webpage.
Mrs. Eldridge will make a poster for the table to advertise the event.
Review of Venue and Event Logistics Date: March 24, 2017
Location: Harry Williams Community Center -2 Broadway-Runnemede
299 max. occupancy
Mrs. Sheppard submitted necessary paperwork for event.
There will be 10 bags/games, 1 “special” game, 2 bag raffles, and a 50/50 raffle
Table Reservation: Tables can be reserved for a group of 8 if tickets are purchased together (at the same time)
Event will be B.Y.O.B. – Those attending must be 18 or older, no students in attendance
Discussion about refreshments – further discussion at February’s meeting
Technology needed: Screen, projector, laptop (Triton will supply)
Microphone – Maria will provide
Tickets Members signed out tickets to sell and have flyers to hang around the community.
Tickets can be purchased at Triton’s main office or any PTP member.
Bingo Supplies Bingo boards will be purchased from Atlantic Bingo Supply Company – 3 games per sheet
Mrs. Sheppard will bring quotes for supplies to next meeting.
Suggestion to sell Scotch Tape at the event
Bingo Games It was decided by the membership present to have 10 “regular” games, 1 “special” game and two “special raffles” ($5.00 per ticket). (The format would look something like 5 games – special game – 5 games – 2 raffles at the end)
Designer Bag Acquisition Joy and Jill will shop for the following:
3 designer bags as prizes (We have 7)
1 bag for the “Special” game
2 bags for the raffles
11 wristlets to serve as tie-breakers and door prizes
Basket Auction The goal is to have 5-10 baskets to auction at the event.
Mrs. Sheppard will put together a donation letter and email it to the PTP members.
The tax ID number will be provided to the business donating the basket in a thank you note after the donation is received.
