PRESS RELEASE IUT HOSTS 8TH ICT FEST 2016 IUT 8th ICT Fest 2016has organized by the IUT Computer Society (IUTCS) which was inaugurated by Professor Abdul Mannan, Chairman, University Grants Commission of Bangladesh (UGC) as Chief Guest on 04 November 2016 while Professor M Abdus Sobhan, Vice-Chancellor of Prime University, attended the fest as Special Guest. The fest has presided over by the Professor Dr. Munaz Ahmed Noor, Vice-Chancellor, Islamic University of Technology (IUT). The Vice-Chancellor of IUT, said that it is conspicuous that IUTCS is trying to spread the essence of Information and Communication Technology to the students across the OIC by arranging the IUT 8th ICT Fest 2016. Head Computer Science and Engineering Department of IUT, Professor Dr. M. A. Mottalib, also spoke on the occasion as the Chief Patron of the fest. There were several events viz. Programming Contest, Project Showcasing, Gaming Contest, IT Business Idea Challenge, ICT Olympiad and Game Development. Professor Dr. Munaz Ahmed Noor, Vice-Chancellor of IUT, stressed the need for organizing such programmes and wished the programme a success.
