Jerry Shen
Jerry Shen is the CEO of ASUSTeK Computer Inc. Prior to being appointed CEO in January 2008 Jerry was President of ASUS Open Optimal Platform (AOOP) from 2007–2008.
One of Mr. Shen’s pioneering achievements was the groundbreaking partnering with visionary ASUS Chairman Jonney Shih, in 2006, on the Eee PC project. That game-changing venture put lightweight, cost-effective, and efficient netbooks into the hands of consumers, and students, for the first time. This mobile computing vision helped spark an industry revolution that continues to guide technology future-thinking leadership today.
Mr. Shen’s engineering talents, and marketplace knowledge, have led to ASUSTek’s success in building the world’s leading motherboard and graphics card manufacturing enterprise—holding one-third of the global market share. Before joining ASUS, Jerry also spent 10 years honing his trade in senior R&D positions at computer companies, and IT research institutions. He holds a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University.
Mr. Shen has invested heavily in recruitment, training, and career planning at ASUS. He believes, “Talented, creative people are the essence of innovation, and the driving force in ASUS’ global success.”
When not tracking technology trends, or developing new, creative projects at ASUS, the soft-spoken Shen enjoys spending time with his family. Jerry is married to a wonderful wife, has three amazing daughters, and a very independent cat named Niko.
