Cadillac Eldorado 1957
This past week-end the biggest European Cadillac Big Meet took place for the 10th time at Schloss Kremsegg in the Upper Austrian town Kremsmunster. A total of 130 cars from 9 nations were represented, among them some rare models from Germany and Switzerland. The longest distance ride had a Cadillac from Lulea/North Sweden with 2660 km.
As special emphasis of this year’s Jubilee Meet the slogan „Cadillac Milestone Cars“ was chosen. In a special exhibit significant milestones in the company’s history were shown – from the famous 1959 tail fins - the biggest in automobile history - to the first Cadillac Eldorado of 1953, the opulent models of the forties and the super luxury Eldorado Broughams of 1957 to 1960. The finest and rarest Cadillacs were awarded prizes by a panel of expert and public jurors.
Where vintage cars outshone one another, the newest Cadillac model range could not to be missed. Visitors to the BIG Meet were able to get a first-hand impression of the award winning ATS Sport Sedan, the SRX Crossovers and the newly launched CTS Premium Sedan. What they all share in common is distinctive design, efficient engines, which guarantee excellent performance, driving dynamics, comfort and outstanding safety and comfort equipment.
